ummm ! my ( digital ) calendar says we get to trade Monday the 31st of October is the QLD ( or the ASX ) having another non-trading day this month ( maybe we are mourning the death of the British economy this time )
plenty of lizards ( mainly skinks and water dragons , but a few blue-tongues ) a sprinkling of snakes ( at least one red-belly and a BIG carpet python ) and flocks of birds , various parrots , 2 kookaburra families , butcher birds , a crow family , at least one magpie family etc etc etcThis is actually early in the reptile hatching season and the bird hatching season has already ended. .. just asking since i am retired , these public holidays don't mean a lot to me anymore ( unless it is a non-trading day )
cheers
And we are missing a batrachia...?plenty of lizards ( mainly skinks and water dragons , but a few blue-tongues ) a sprinkling of snakes ( at least one red-belly and a BIG carpet python ) and flocks of birds , various parrots , 2 kookaburra families , butcher birds , a crow family , at least one magpie family etc etc etc
all we really need is a big sea eagle to rise above it all
don't feel too bad i did the opposite ( tried to add on a day ) last monthYou are absolutely correct @divs4ever I missed the 31st(up the top of my calendar) thank you.
i can't seem to teach the crows to eat the cane toad thighs ( like the ones on a farm i once worked )And we are missing a batrachia...?
You need to come and visit me for a break, 2 giant tree frogs species, usually active in perpetuating species plus mini et minuscule green frog species common occurrence when the 2 leg frog does his cane toad freezing round in the evening...i can't seem to teach the crows to eat the cane toad thighs ( like the ones on a farm i once worked )
but it must be years , maybe a decade since i have seen a green tree frog , but we do have about three species of toads ( not just canes )
i also missed the two foxes , a pair of bush turkeys , but no koalas ( surprising since we back on to a nature corridor set aside for koalas , specifically )
( haven't seen a tawny frog-mouth for about 6 years either )
Still some hope for the frog taking part in the electricity experiment..sorry EV green world...with PL
