Apart from those four loose strands at the top ;) Those damned hippies, too many drugs, can't get their knitting neat.

Mate.......... its spring, shhhh !! ........they're nesting.......... be patient......... at this time of year anything can happen in 5 days when you're sitting on eggs ;) .

Just an observation

ummm ! my ( digital ) calendar says we get to trade Monday the 31st of October is the QLD ( or the ASX ) having another non-trading day this month ( maybe we are mourning the death of the British economy this time )

.. just asking since i am retired , these public holidays don't mean a lot to me anymore ( unless it is a non-trading day )

cheers

This is actually early in the reptile hatching season and the bird hatching season has already ended. You're right.

Personally I much prefer snakes and lizards, so it works for me.
plenty of lizards ( mainly skinks and water dragons , but a few blue-tongues ) a sprinkling of snakes ( at least one red-belly and a BIG carpet python ) and flocks of birds , various parrots , 2 kookaburra families , butcher birds , a crow family , at least one magpie family etc etc etc

all we really need is a big sea eagle to rise above it all

And we are missing a batrachia...?

don't feel too bad i did the opposite ( tried to add on a day ) last month

.. but the calendar i used to get from the pharmacist , is probably a tree housing termites somewhere

cheers

and of course Tuesday the 1st of November will be Melbourne Cup day , RBA rates day ( where rates USUALLY stay unchanged ) just to add to the uncertainty

And we are missing a batrachia...?
i can't seem to teach the crows to eat the cane toad thighs ( like the ones on a farm i once worked )

but it must be years , maybe a decade since i have seen a green tree frog , but we do have about three species of toads ( not just canes )

i also missed the two foxes , a pair of bush turkeys , but no koalas ( surprising since we back on to a nature corridor set aside for koalas , specifically )

( haven't seen a tawny frog-mouth for about 6 years either )

You need to come and visit me for a break, 2 giant tree frogs species, usually active in perpetuating species plus mini et minuscule green frog species common occurrence when the 2 leg frog does his cane toad freezing round in the evening...
Still some hope for the frog taking part in the electricity experiment..sorry EV green world...with PLS

so, the question is: What is happening in the wings: Fat lady singing, or bridesmaid? (or both??)
