Reviewing old postings.I’m not sure why Twiggy is chasing gold, it doesn’t really fit his investment profile. Maybe Greatland have other land prospective for copper and nickel…
Makes things a little more complicated for NCM with Havieron but not much. Will still replace feed at the Telfer mill.
I wonder if they’ll regret not picking up the extra 5% when on offer.

@Sean K
You mentioned gold was not Twiggy's strong area.
But he bought RMWilliams and cattle farm too. Vertical integration.
Green Energy and Future Energy.
Twiggy is a charisma in turning dirt into gold - paydirt.
Newcrest Mining digs in for M&A talks, calls in advisers
Feb 5, 2023 – 2.13pm
Australia’s biggest gold miner, Newcrest Mining, is in the crosshairs of a major global producer, with talks under way to fold the $20 billion Australian company into a North American counterpart.
It is understood Newcrest’s board has received an early-stage approach to buy the group, and has called in financial and legal advisers to help assess whether the proposal would be in shareholders’ interests.
Toronto-based Barrick Gold and US-based Newmont Corporation, both of which have long associations with gold mining in Australia, and Canada’s Agnico Eagle Mines, are the most logical suitors.

I agree with you @Sean K .. am thinking perhaps we'll see a pre-market NCM announcement tomorrow morning !?Wow! I thought NCM may have been on the hunt, not the other way around. Even though gold tanked on Friday this sort of news should be good for NCM.
I would really prefer NCM to stay Australian though. They should have bought DEG a year ago. Or even EVN or NST. I know they’ve been bedding down the Canadian things and managing PNG closely, but it’s a beast that should have the capacity for multitasking.

Certainly agree with you @DrBourse as don't think it will get the 'green light' acceptance from NCM board (in the best interest of shareholder's)1st offer of 0.363 was rejected by NCM - this offer today of 0.38 is opportunistic to say the least.
