Came across The Koln Concert by Keith Jarrett in a recent article.
This was an iconic improvised jazz-fusion concert performed in the Opera House in Koln in Jan 1975. The concert recording is the best selling solo album in jazz history and the best selling piano album. So there are some commercial chops for the music.
The circumstances around the staging of the concert which made the production a unique event are being explored in movies being produced for the 50 year anniversary.
