I agree with @Sean K on this @basilio . All politicians nowadays are the same. Trump is no different except in terms of magnitude and asset class manipulation. Albanese, Obama, Morrison and Biden are a disgrace and the sooner you recognise this the better the world will be.
One of the reasons your lefty opinions are on the nose is that you cherry pick and are afraid to ever criticise one of your own as do all lefties.

I can't think of too many senior politicians who have not been corrupted, or who are doing it for some sort of vanity project. Who has been the last totally benevolent politician or dictator to have graced our leadership here or there? Maybe Atahualpa.
There are degrees of corruption, I suppose, but it's still corruption, nepotism, etc. They are all after power.
I think the West has seen the best of politics, which is still flawed, but what else should we aspire to? Human nature is our crux. Survival our imperative.
In regard to the Left vs Right, it's an interesting comment. There are obviously far-Left and far-right that will not consider the other sides opinion at all.
I think I'm centre-right.
I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post this bit, but the far-Lefties can squeal all they like at the general opinion of what's happening around the world. The pendulum has swung hard and they only have themselves to blame.
Washington | Tight security for Donald Trump’s inauguration may have Washington looking like a war zone once again, but the combative mood and disbelief that accompanied his first mandate eight years ago is gone.
Instead, Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans are resigned, billionaires are signing cheques, business is on-board and foreign leaders of every political hue are in town to be part of the Trump 2.0 moment.
For progressives and “Never-Trumpers” alike, this second mandate has forced a rethink after eight years of battle against nemesis No 1, in an exhausting campaign that failed.
Indeed, a survey at the weekend by The New York Times and Ipsos found that many Americans who dislike Trump still agree with his take on the country’s problems, particularly on the matter of immigration.
