I found this video and song very moving.

Paul McCartney looking a bit old and wistful trying to nicely close the door on the Beatles, giving everyone one last song and giving us nice reminders of his old childhood friends Harrison and Lennon.

And what can I say about the director Peter Jackson. He deserves the accolades he has received for this and his other works.

Almost a cliché now, but no Christmas is complete without The Pogues

Another Christmas comes along, and once again I will be playing my Pogues Christmas Anthem.
This year will be different, as sadly I just read that Shane McGowan the lead singer of the Pogues died overnight at the tender age of 65.
Actually, given that he was a hard drinker, a heavy smoker, and probably a few other things, I am surprised he lasted this long.
