From what I can remember there were book prizes when it kicked off then it moved into cash prizes when all the entries came in ? ?.

Prize money hasn't gone up in the last couple of decades along with inflation ?so it's lost a bit of attraction.

Of course, if the prize was for $100 of petrol (or electricity for the EV) there would likely be more entries than just $100 in cash !

i only compete to test some stock selection strategies , finding out which strategies are duds is far better than the prize-money ( imo )
