I'm a bit slow off the mark this month. Apologies all. This thread should have been started yesterday but I didn't realise today was a trading day. D'oh! This screen capture is from a few minutes before the close of trade today.

The May stock tipping competition is once again being Sponsored by OTrader. OTrader is a streamlined, easy-to-use portfolio management tool for stock, option, warrant, future and CFD traders. The new features in OTrader 4.1 allow you go way beyond your standard excel spread sheets by giving you advanced reporting and trade analysis.

Don't forget that the competition entrant with the best average return over March, April and May will win themselves a FREE copy of Otrader!

Could all entrants for the May competition please check your entry and entry price and let me know in this thread if I have made any mistakes!

Keep track of the competition results here as the month progresses: https://www.aussiestockforums.com/stocktip.php

Best of luck to all entrants! :)

Hi Joe
My software (I'm not home - still in Europe) is showing YGL as .093 start and .096 close - 3.23% for day 1. Can you please check?
Thanks - Will be back hom by the weekend - but had a month away.
Also - Please see my post at the end of the April competition thread - where it shows I was down for the wrong pick. Should have been OPC - not WME - and OPC rose from .081 to 11c in the month. (Start price to be confirmed - my software is still loading info!)
As you have a 3 month average comp now - it might be relevant!!
Cheers
Canny

Canny, I apologise for getting your entry incorrect in the April competition. Rest assured that when I calculate the three month averages to determine the winner of the Otrader poftfolio management software at the end of this month I will include the performance of OPC in April rather than WME when calculating yours.

You are also correct about YGL's entry price this month. It was indeed 9.3c and the competition leaderboard table has been adjusted accordingly. My apologies for this error also.

Hey Joe,
Is there anyway we can keep track of the leaders through the March, April and May comp? Or is this something you work out at the end of the 3 months???

Cheers

powwww, this is something I calculate at the end of each three month period. Unfortunately there's no system in place at the moment for keeping track of each entrants three monthly averages on a real time basis.

Congratulations to both Canny and Nicks on first and second place in the May competition! :D

Canny crossed the line first on YGL finishing up with an impressive 39.78% return over the month. Close behind in second place with a return of 36.84% was Nicks with SRK. These returns are even more impressive considering the downturn we experienced in May.

Rounding out the top 5 was noirua, IGO4IT and StockyBailz, all finishing the month with returns in excess of 20%! Well done to you all! :)

Could Canny and Nicks please contact me via PM regarding your prizes.

I will be announcing the winner of the FREE copy of Otrader portfolio management software within the next couple of days, as soon as I find the time to pull out my calculator and give it a workout.

Here are the final results for May:

I just wanted to say thanks to Aussie Stock Forums & Otrader. Just fired the software up and as advertised it is simple to use, excellent for reviewing trades and more. The reports are particularly handy as a replacement to money 2006 which did the job, just not as well.

Cheers Joe and Otrader.
