Landslide for Trudeau in Canada: Implications for Oz?

Trudeau was just the dumb front man. He wasn't the brains behind it. He actually fell out with her very publicly not long ago.

Looks like Justin Castro is going down in flames.

Some of you may know that I was born in Canada and remain a citizen according to current law, so maintain an interest in that country.

Castro in his tenure has utterly destroyed the fabric of Canadian society, taking it from a friendly moderate centre-left society society divided by radicalism and Marxist/postmodern ideology.

Pierre Pollievre(sp?) looks to be next in line once the elections happen next year, so it will be interesting to watch over the next few years whether Canada can recuperate from the woke sh1tshow it has become.
The woke **** will end but the opposition is a bigger bootlicker to isreal than woke Hitler wannabe ever was

One of the OGs for/of the globalist lizard people is mark carney (harvard+oxford+UN+Asset manager+Media empire chairman) - who had been advising the Liberal party for years. He was doing US late night tv shows this week and now announced he is running for liberal party leadership - which he will win in a heartbeat.

Good summary of how much of an insider elitest Carney actually is. Turnbull is a poor mans carney... https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1879210943584063729#google_vignette

I can't imagine that Americans, insular as they are, are really going to care much about the hurt and fury from Canada.

And there's your problem with Canada in a nutshell... defining themselves relative to Americans. Every politician in Canada trying to boost their popularity by attacking trump and America.
Canada needs to learn. They are that spoilt they think they have a chance against US blowback. They will legit become a third world country in a heartbeat
An ever increasing % of the population comes from the 3rd world.... You are what you eat as they say.

Carney has been elected as leader in Canada.
Just what Canada needs, an ex central banker at the helm.
We are planning on going there next year, I hope the fools in Ottowa and Washington combine to crash the Canadian dollar.
Mick
Probably a good thing for Canada if they do crash the Canadian dollar as will protect economy against tariffs.
Think you are timing that trip perfectly!

By then you may have problems with the Australian Peso being equally worthless

WEF and lizard people around the world rejoice

Trump destroys democracy yet Canada is the country with an unelected prime Minister with dual (Or maybe triple) citizenship who has probably spent more time outside of Canada than he ever has inside of Canada?

Canadians literally have to be the most gullible idealistic people on the planet. The liberals surged in the polls by electing someone who was the closest economic advisor to the outgoing prime minister who they absolutely hated because of his poor economic policies.... Can't make this stuff up.

Yep.

Many here would remember that I was actually born in Canada. My parents shot through to California very soon after I popped out... Why?

This was going on back in the late 50s and early 60s when prime minister Diefenbaker attempted to tell the United States to GFY. It didn't end well for the Canadian economy and the grass was most certainly greener on the other side of the fence.

Pierre is making the same mistake, hence his precipice fall from popularity.

Smaal correction, the only people who voted for Carney was the members of the ruling party.
The plebs won't get a look in until he faces to people at the next election due by October 20th this year.
Carney's party actually received a lower primary vote than the main opposition party, the conservatives, but won the most seats without having enough to govern without a coalition.
Likely to be another hung parliament at the end of October.

I honestly don't know how it works. Sent this by a Canadian friend who seemed happy about it.
Pretty simple. A bunch of people buy memberships to the liberal party and vote on the leaders, so the votes of MPs are relatively irrelevant - At least the changed the rules so Chinese and Russian agents couldn't vote...

In a strategic policy move, the Liberal Party has introduced tighter restrictions on who can vote in its upcoming leadership race. For the first time, only Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be allowed to cast their ballots. Previously, the party had allowed non-Canadian residents to vote, a policy that has now been deemed unsustainable in light of security concerns. By limiting participation to those with permanent ties to Canada, the party seeks to preserve the integrity of its democratic processes and limit the influence of foreign entities.

This is my other fav - Democracy in Action! - so long as you have $350k hanging around.

While voting rules have tightened, the entry fee for leadership candidates has also been significantly increased. To run in the race, candidates must raise $350,000, a steep increase from the $75,000 fee in the 2013 race when Justin Trudeau became leader. This change aims to ensure that only serious contenders with the resources to lead the party are able to enter the race. The fee is five times higher than what the Conservatives charged for their 2022 leadership contest, reflecting the increasing costs of running a political campaign in Canada.

Not surprised Carbon Tax Carney won - but a little surprised by the margin. He literally was the architect of these policies that sunk Trudeau. How stupid are Canadians? Really? Some days I think about going back there to work as they are such an easy people to manipulate - but the flip side is that they go crying to HR every time you say anything they deem offensive.

Were your parents the ones to spread the woke mind disease from Canada to California all those years ago?

There have to be some papers out there explaining the Canadian obsession with telling Americans to F-off. It's such a silly mentality - you don't see Kiwi's constantly bashing Australia. It's the opposite - they're usually grateful for the opportunities Australia gives them which are typically better.

I have been to NZ a few times, I found the opposite.
Perhaps it was the low level types that I met, but I got chided for our stupid politicians( it was during the LNP years), the fact that we are hopeless at Rugby (Really, who cares?) , and they still have not got over the Chappel underarm cricket incident.

No. My folks were Immigrants to Canada... Escaping all that crap from the UK. I don't really know how they voted back then, but I know here in Aus they were staunch Liberals and were gutted when Gough won , soon after arriving. FWIW

We should call New Zealand the 7th state and plan to annex them. Unfortunately we don't have the power to cripple them economically first.
