Landslide for Trudeau in Canada: Implications for Oz?

Not sure if Trump has accepted much guidance over the years.
With such a large ego, he is his own man, and in his last appearance as president managed to surround himself with yes men.
Good leaders accept counsel from others.
Great leaders accept counsel from those who are idealogicaly opposite.

Yes you don't see that trait anymore, now we have moved down the track of tribal politics, it has been a while since party members could have a conscience vote, or give any credit to the other side.
These days the mantra is criticise and denigrate first, ask questions later. ;)

Looks like Justin Castro is going down in flames.

Some of you may know that I was born in Canada and remain a citizen according to current law, so maintain an interest in that country.

Castro in his tenure has utterly destroyed the fabric of Canadian society, taking it from a friendly moderate centre-left society society divided by radicalism and Marxist/postmodern ideology.

Pierre Pollievre(sp?) looks to be next in line once the elections happen next year, so it will be interesting to watch over the next few years whether Canada can recuperate from the woke sh1tshow it has become.

Looks like Trump is doing more to govern Canada than he is the US!!! And all he said was stop the drugs in the immigrants... Doesn't seem that hard to do to avoid 25% tariff... Just hire some more border guards. That'll keep Trump happy. But no - Trump appears to have blown up the Canadian government:roflmao::roflmao:

It was already headed towards being a dumpster fire well before the demi-god was crowned by the boomers who worshipped at the alter of his father. I'm sure I've posted before - but I can recall working in Canada well over 20 years ago and people talking about Justin being PM... He wasn't even in politics at that point from memory.. This silver spoon brat had been conditioned from day 1 to think he was untouchable and destined to run the country. The question is: Will PP actually do anything to change the path of the country or will he just be a populist mouthpiece?

This poll is a month old, but I'm sure the next poll will be much worse. The conservative party won Monday's by-election with 66% of the vote... that's a pretty staggering defeat no matter where you are in the Western world for any election.

Justin Castro should be stocking up on KY Gel if this graphic plays out.

In response to growing concerns about border security, Canada has announced a new set of measures to strengthen its border with the United States, writes Digi24.

This move comes after President-elect Donald Trump threatened to impose a 25% tariff on Canadian goods unless the country secures its border against illegal migration and drug trafficking.

Economists warn that such tariffs could severely impact Canada’s economy.

Canada’s government has pledged to invest 1.3 billion Canadian dollars (about $900 million) into this new border security plan.

Minister of Finance and Intergovernmental Affairs, Dominic LeBlanc, outlined the plan's details.

He emphasized that the goal is to curb the flow of illegal drugs and migration while ensuring the free movement of people and goods, which he sees as essential to North America's prosperity.

The plan consists of five key components. The first is to disrupt the fentanyl trade, which has contributed to the opioid crisis.

What's shocking is the Trudeau government admitted it's border was terrible and porous. If it was secured...would it need 1.3 billion?

I'll say it again. Trump doing a better job as governor than the current Canadian governor.

How he still has any support is beyond me. The people hate him not his party. Yet the cowards in his party still support him knowing they're going to be wiped out? Justin Bieber would get more votes.

The NDP hasn't helped their cause keeping this zombie ship afloat. Surprised they only lose 5 seats. Their leader says Trudeau has to go - but yet the NDP are the minority party keeping him in power. Canadians might be annoying and suffer from the woke disease - but they're not dumb. I suspect the NDP leader won't be leader for much longer either. https://www.thestar.com/opinion/con...cle_26a728c4-bd87-11ef-9e8a-df76a074a6f4.html

This kind of incoherence is no new thing for the NDP leader. For more than two months now he has clung to a baffling duality: demanding an end to the Liberal government while not actually ending the Liberal government
