Obviuosly you cant get them before they come out - "insider trading"

But how can you get them early?

I know you get just go to herald sun, or asx or something.

But is there a easy way to do it, without sitting there all day clicking refresh hoping to land a huge announcement?

Thanks

Dan

You need a live system access to the ASX, like WebIress. ETrade does it through ETrade Pro and Power ETrade. Couldn't live without it as a full time investor. Otherwise, just keep clicking.

Helped a little bit, more about general news that announcements.

So basically a BD,Comsecc, E-Trade etc account.

Would i need to be Gold+ membership?

If it was basic membership, would it be delayed news?
What's the purpose of this wish to access announcements?
Do you seriously think if you, as an individual investor/trader, see a public announcement, there are not going to be many institutions etc who will already have this info?

Do you have some daydream of buying your 100 or so shares before the institutions get in with their orders for millions?

Sorry, I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I just wonder how realistic your thinking is.

Well i want to read them pretty early, like everyone does.

Do you want to read old news?... i dont

What is wrong with reading the news after the market has reacted to it??

To be honest......

My simple daily ritual.......I don't check stock prices......daily stock prices are pretty irrelevant.........

I just turn up on asx home page.......and click on the 'view all recent'........(price senseitive announcements........

That's it........no mess, no fuss.......every announcement from the morning on....

You will get some announcements 20 minutes quicker than the newspaper websites this way...........

And I'm pretty sure there is no 'professional' medium that will get them earlier.......

Remember, ASX, is the (self) regulator.........so I don't think the regulator would allow preferred access compared to own website!

That's seriously your trading strategy rainmaker? No charting, technical analysis or detailed fundamental research? Just trading on the release of announcements using the ASX website?

If you don't mind me asking how profitable has the worked out for you?
