I'm hoping Sails's crossness with me for this will be overwhelmed by her pleasure in knowing how many people are thinking about her.

I was prompted by some years ago when I was devastated at the sudden death of my beloved dog at just six years of age, Prospector leaked it to the forum. The lovely wishes and kindness I received helped enormously.

Friends are often those we've never met but have come to know over years of cyber communication.:)

Best of wishes
Another of life's challenges.
We all face our own through life.
Knowing your not alone and there
Are many worse than you helps I think.

Get well soon.

You'll be fine the forum QUACK

Good news. Very brief email from Sails says she had the operation yesterday, all OK, just not up to typing or doing much yet.

Wow - what can I say except a big thank you to so many friends here at ASF. I have a canula in my right hand which sets the machine beeping if I type too much! Pain under control now thankfully. And thanks Julia for the unexpected thread and the posts gave me many smiles :)

Canula...a likely story Sailsy. You're down as 'test' for next week. If you think you're going onto the long term injury list, you can think again.

Pleased to hear you are on the mend Sails.

:xyxthumbs

And thanks for keeping the human side of ASF alive Julia.

No long term injury list if I can help it, Logique! And sorry for spelling cannula incorrectly...lol. I've been back home for a few days and progressing ok.

The strange thing is I only had mild to moderate pain when I went to be checked for what I thought might have been a cranky heart, hardly any nausea and never had a gall bladder flare up in my life! Good thing I did get this unusual chest and back radiating type of pain checked as pancreatic enzymes were many times higher than they should have been and the fast intervention has hopefully spared it permanent damage.

Thanks again for all the well wishes...:)
