@Sean K - so, did I know why Vancouver without any Kangaroos, also beaten Melbourne? It was only because I was living and working in Vancouver as an expat

Go into any shop selling tourist souvenirs, especially in Vienna, and you'll find an assortment of hats, stickers, fridge magnets, T-shirts and so on all with this on them:

It's one of those things that just is.

As for Austria itself, it's the only place I've ridden a Segway on the road in traffic.

Also the only place I've been abruptly hurled backwards down a grassy hill off a Segway.

I'm not sure whether Austria has snakes or bears, but it was about here that thought occurred:

This is getting a long way off topic however.
