Fire Season here in WA

@wayneL I'm still patrolling my Southern and Western boundaries a couple of times a day.
Local firies come and go during the day and night also.
Had a visitor traversing the farm as if he owned it, checking out the bovine herd.
Lucky for him, he was quicker off the mark than me at the time.
Have to leave the main gate unlocked so the place is open for all and sundry, until I catch them.
Some friends busted some looters down here, just around the corner from us where Lamonts is. They got away unfortunately.

When I asked the friendly Snr Sgt who gets firewood from me at the farm, what should I do about intruders. Whatever you feel is a fair and appropriate thing. Just say nothing!!!!!

Just had a phone call for help from a couple I work for in Chidlow.
Dead end street 2nd last property on the road.
Had a fence flattened last night/this morning, but appears their dog frightened them off.
He is armed to the teeth and on the war path.

Latest bushfire South of Perth, out of control and on a large front.
Appears that at least one home has been lost.
Another suspicious fire in reasonably close proximity to the last one in that area.
This is certainly stretching the fire crews to their limits.
At least the water bombers aren't being stymied by bureaucratic bungling as was the case at Red Hill.

A rather warm day today hit 100 deg in the old money.
Had a fire just up the road from us that could have turned nasty as it is in a reasonable amount of bush.
There is another off Gt Eastern Hwy burning out of control in what is now State Forest.
From where I was working tonight it looked very spectacular.
Fortunately, there are only a few inhabitants in this area.
The fire season is now upon us.
Fire units are filled with water and fuel, and the Cat Loader also ready to roll if necessary.

Holy snapping @55holes @farmerge this one is huge. Started from a fatal care crash they say :(

@wayneL That;s for sure Wayne.
That coastal scrub is hard to control once a moving fire is in it.
I have a cousin who lives in Jurien and his place is on the highest point in the area.
Reckons the night vision is quite spectacular.
