Hell I dont see any of that on this thread.

Simply a discussion on the experiences of Porkey and his software.
Plus some words of wisdom from a long term exponent of E/W.

Good point Techy, but getting a good E/W software package is probably just as important for a reasonable price. As for the best software is 'between your ears' thats right too, I have been a metastock user for 14 years but I do look at the fundementals first, as for the interest in E/W it doe'snt do any harm to add another string to your bow. I am now just about totally a CFD trader started in mid june and I have never made so much gain in such a short period,and thats with all the negative comments on ASF.
Getting back to my experiance with 888tradingshop software, I am having a problem now with AGET software accepting Metastock data or ASCII data, probably me doing something wrong even though I'm following the manual as best I can. porkpie

Porkpie, I believe AGET needs some .dll files to accept metastock or ascii data. Let me know if you still need help.

I sent an email to 888tradingshop last night explaining my problem, have yet to get a response, in the past they have answered queries promptly. So any help in sorting this problem would be appreciated. porkpie

Found this out there, hope it helps, its all jumbo to me though.. Maybe some of the tech minded people might know what it means..

Advanced GET and MetaStock File Format
Advanced GET has the ability to read data from Premium Data and Data Tools and Premium Forex using a "metastock file library" called MSFLxxx.DLL. Advanced GET has an inbuilt Computrac/MetaStock format decoder but this does not read in the current MetaStock format correctly - you need the DLL instead.

Advanced GET 7.5 Builds 83 through 135 require MSFL651.dll
Advanced GET 7.5 Build 136 and above can use either MSFL651.DLL or MSFL70.DLL

If you have Windows 98 or Windows ME, it must be located in the C:\Windows\System folder.
For Windows NT or Windows 2000, it must be located in the C:\WinNT\System32 folder.
If you have Windows XP it must be located in the C:\Windows\System32 folder.

The file MSFL651.DLL is supplied with Metastock v6.52. When you install MetaStock it places the DLL files in the system folder automatically.

Looks like Kauri has posted links to all the info you need, Porkpie. If the MSFL70.DLL doesn't work for you, I have a couple of other .dll files that were supplied when first purchasing Aget.

The programme AGET seems ok now, downloaded the file and installed it followed the site instructions and all ok, can now load Metastock files. Will have to go through the manual now plus all the CDs that came with the programme.
Why 888tradingshop didn't include the simple instuctions I don't know. I wasted hours trying to work it out.
