I have ordered A Get software from 888tradingshop, I was concerned about being a scam so have ordered a password protected package without payment, once I recieve it I will pay the amount and then receive the product. I ordered on Tuesday and have yet to receive the order. Will keep ASF members updated, if any others have experience with this company I would be interested to know. porkpie

Difficult to trace these guys; the web domain is purchased from a reseller (Enom, Inc) and the IP Address is in Indonesia. I would be a bit careful...
They can send you a nice looking CD with nothing on it, or it could be an illegal copy. I personally don't purchase online from companies that don't have at least an easily traceable real business address.

I'd agree with Nick Radge comments in regards to AdvancedGET. AGET is much more advanced product to trade elliott waves (I have both PS and AG). There are more indicators that you can use in conjunction with Elliott Wave. PTI which confirms a probability of the next wave, XTL - identifies trend direction, etc etc. Profitsource implemented some of them but still original is the best. As Nick Radge mentioned AGETs labeling is much more advanced which operates on 3 levels. I think overall AGET is still far ahead of PS.
Another point that i want to mention is that you don't actually own Profitsource you pay $3.5K to get a shell and then $500 for data and scans every year. It would not work without $500 a year subscription.

I'll also order AGET for $250. Why is it so cheap? Is it an older version?

That's correct this is not the latest version. But there are not many differences from the latest version. The main thing is that all indicators and functions remain the same.

Update on 888tradingshop order, have recieved an email that product AGET was shipped on 2nd Dec from Sydney, I am on the Gold Coast so should get it this week sometime. Thanks Stockrunner for your post, if this order does turn to custard its only a small ammount and worth the risk (thats on the risk/reward scale). porkpie

888tradingshop update, the discs arrived this morning, (I'm not there at the mo), will have a good look at the weekend and send the payment off early next week if all seems ok. porkpie
 
Treadingshop AGET order update. I paid the ammount requested using Western Union money transfer it costs $35 but worth the extra for security reasons, recieved the password and have just loaded the proramme all seems ok so far, hav'nt used it yet I will have to read the manual first. porkpie
 
Tradingshop AGET update, had a small problem with installing programme but tech help from 888 Tradingshop was prompt and easy to follow so all in all I think it was a good purchase in spite of the concerns, just have to now read the manual and use it. porkpie

What was the problem & solution Porkpie ?

Have just ordered this package , but can't seem to follow their payment procedure -- their talking about sending payment to UKRAINE (Via Western Union ), how did U receive the product prior to payment ?

This is a cracked and pirated version. Chances are it won't work 100%. The real version is much bigger $$$.

I have been using AGET for 5-6 years now. Although Tom Joseph has put a descent EW mechanical trading system back then ,together with a collection of Gann, Andrews Pitchfork, and a whole host of other tools it has limitations.

As Magdoran was quite clearly pointed out in previous posts in other threads " The best computer, is the one in between your ears". Nothing comes close to distinguishing patterns as the human brain can do. Learning the mechanics of price movement, the pattern of the trend, micro patterns, and learning to trade counter trends is core to using the EW principle such that you have an edge. The time traders put into working out how to best use indicators is better spent at looking at prices unfold in realtime in fast moving markets.

AGET will only give you a simplified of an impulse and a zig zag correction. This is OK, but it also really depends on what capacity you wish to use AGET. I personally don't use the electronically generated wave counts in AGET. I like to see the types of patterns within the trend, and then integrate this with Cycles Analysis to come up with a highest probability wave count.

Nevertheless AGET still offers a great collection and tools for the average trader IMO.

Well guys I think discussing which Elliott software is better the same as discussing which shovel is better. I think it's more important how good you are in using it.... the point is unless you know Elliott Wave inside out regardless what software you use it won't make money for you! However, it will help you by giving some guidance as where stock is heading.
In this regard AGET is a great tool and your mission as a trader is to build your trading strategy around AGET strengths.
I believe there are a few negative comments about different software manly from people who blame it for losing money, while your are the weakest link....sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone.
