Will I still be able to charge mine at home and drive it around? It can’t be that out of date.
Your Tesla may soon be as out-of-date as the original Ford Model T, with a major EV arms race now underway to roll out game-changing new tech.
Just interesting battery info. Will I still be able to charge mine at home and drive it around? It can’t be that out of date.
@SirRumpole Does self drive now open the door for legally blind people to be able to be behind the wheel on a public road?Quite a long video (52 mins), but interesting if you are thinking of buying a 2025 Tesla Model 3.
My humble opinion is that self drive should be banned.
If people can't drive they should be taking taxis or public transport.
If we allow self drive, it is not far fetched to say the driver is not responsible ?@SirRumpole Does self drive now open the door for legally blind people to be able to be behind the wheel on a public road?
horse for courses , in my opinion ,I may be wrong but part of the driving experience for me is being in control. So much so that I prefer manual cars, I'll decide what gear to use thank you. The lack of control must worry passengers in these EV self drive vehicles. As for EV vehicles per se. I still prefer the ICE to get me about.
I note there has been a decrease in the momentum of change to EV's in the West. China on the other hand is powering ahead in their adoption. So I am possibly a lone voice abhorring pure EV's. For saving on fuel though I would consider a hybrid. Saving on petrol that is. The cost to the environment of the mining of metals that go in to batteries for EV's is underestimated. Nonetheless if every other silly bastard needs ions for batteries I will hold mining stocks to oblige them. As with 98% of the population it is all about me.

A lot of taxis were converted to LPG. I wonder what happened to them? (No comparison intended to EVs).now i don't travel by taxi so much recently but they were trending towards hybrids back when i used them often
I read somewhere that LPG is back, some tax, or the availability, or some red voting tit is extinct and it is now kosher again. Do a search in duckduck. "Evil Murdoch Press LPG".A lot of taxis were converted to LPG. I wonder what happened to them? (No comparison intended to EVs).
well unless it is a 'wheel-chair friendly people-mover ' they seem to have vanished from the taxi fleets ( at least in the capital city )A lot of taxis were converted to LPG. I wonder what happened to them? (No comparison intended to EVs).
also taxis have a rather short work-life , i suspect normal sedan and station wagon taxis using LPG simply wore out and were replacedA lot of taxis were converted to LPG. I wonder what happened to them? (No comparison intended to EVs).

Well they definitely have,: i remember a person complaining publicly that she left the road in a curve during a rain event but was under the speed limit ....During my younger years I remember a lot of people saying the same about ABS (anti-lock braking) and power steering, I on the other hand could not wait to be able to afford a car with all the new gizmos and safety features. I would have debates with the older crew, they reckoned that the new features would cause people to forget how to drive to the rod conditions.
I can appreciate the argument, but the advances you mention did not affect decision making capability and road awareness that self drive does. It's a whole new game taking control away from the driver.During my younger years I remember a lot of people saying the same about ABS (anti-lock braking) and power steering, I on the other hand could not wait to be able to afford a car with all the new gizmos and safety features. Why would you want to ban self drive, it’s a pretty awesome feature to have especially on a long drive down the freeway, if used properly it makes the vehicle safer.Quite a long video (52 mins), but interesting if you are thinking of buying a 2025 Tesla Model 3.

Hybrid electric vehicles killed LPG taxis.A lot of taxis were converted to LPG. I wonder what happened to them? (No comparison intended to EVs).
until it’s at the point where it’s completely autonomous so that an unlicensed person can hop in a vehicle with no steering wheel etc, the driver will always be responsible. If we allow self drive, it is not far fetched to say the driver is not responsible ?
So no traffic fines or liability in case of accident..
Hum..a snake nest..
My current ICE car has a few self driving fct which really help but i am and feel still in control.
Do i want not to be in control if liable
Not yet, self drive still requires the driver to be able to take over.@SirRumpole Does self drive now open the door for legally blind people to be able to be behind the wheel on a public road?
