It's about racketeering and trying dishonest means to influence the election including threatening election staff. Its not about him trying to prove the election was stolen.
3 important factors.

As you say, it is the big stuff, not adult movie stars stuff and illegally holding documents. This is trying to corrupt the election process.This is major.

Unlike the other trials it can be shown on TV. Everyone can see the evidence for themselves.

If Trump and his gang are jailed they cannot be pardoned by a President.
One advantage Trump has is that as a former President he is allowed to have a security detachment at all time so basically he can't go to jail. It would have to be some form of house arrest.
His gang will have no such fallback and must be worried.
