Hi Team,

I'm finally getting back into Trading following and overseas move and having kids.

I'm looking for recommendations on a computer monitor for chart analysis. Not sure if I should get a curvy one or a dual setup. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions on Brands or certain specs I should be looking at.

Just my personal preference but if there's one thing I hate it's a screen that isn't flat.

All other considerations aside, for serious use I want a screen that's ideally completely flat or (in the old days 20+ years ago) at least as flat as practical. Just my preference. :2twocents

i am working off a laptop , but i wouldn't call my share activity 'trading' , more like active investing , one thing to watch is broadband connectivity those high resolutions can cause refresh slowdowns and freezes , so a BIG monitor might impact data live-streams

FWIW. I used to use a 2 x 24" flat screen setup, now just use a curved 32" Dell S3221QS.

The Dell monitor s/ware has various screen splits including splitting the screen into four equal sections. If I had the dosh I would've scored a larger size e.g. the Dell U3821DW but at the time, the Dell deal was too good to pass up and bought two.

My recommendation is to list what specs you'd like to have and suss out what's out there. EOFY deals abound!
Above all though, think about your eyes and easing the strain long screen time can produce. o_O

Hi. Thanks for your 2 cents worth.

At this stage I'm looking at a single 24 inch. I can always add another one later.

In regards to spec, I don't think the refresh rate matters too much as Im not gaming, but, I'm wondering if I need to have QHD, 4K or will a FHD be fine for charting.

I totally agree with your sentiment about eye care, that's why I'm trying to make a good choice now.
