Hello all,
Does anyone know how to down load CHI-X stock prices into excel?
I.E
For ASX I use, BHP.AX
For CHI-X I use, FPAY.??

If anyone can help with this it would be much appreciated.

Thank You

Hi Dubbo, welcome to the forum.

Are you doing this in Excel or google sheets version of excel?

When you say you use BHP.AX, what is the full cell content as I am unable to load directly into Excel?

Yes I have a spreadsheet (Excel) that I use to update the prices and .AX returns Australian stocks, but I have got one on the Australian CHI-X exchange and that suffix does not work. So yeah wondering if there is another suffix I need to use?

As far as I can tell, neither Yahoo or google provide CHI-X quotes.

There is little price difference between ASX and CHI-X normally, and with the 20 min delay, take that as zero difference for trading.

Many brokers such as Commsec use either to get the best price. Some only use one or the other.

I think you are only getting EOD data so it make no difference anyhow.

OK, so being more specific, if the stock is only traded on CHI-X how can I retrieve the daily price? If not possible so be it.

As the data is published, you can use VBA in Excel to scrape the CHI-X webpage to retrieve the data… easy.
