Very strange, nowhere does it mention France.
Just handover from awa to bae.
As i was in france 1994 working for an Alcatel air surveillance and defence branch at the time, i even contacted their french headquarters but got as answer they were only sending already trained professionals.
Maybe they did not complete the project or were just a small part? A bit weird
This is 1990s tech so i should be ok with no asio breathing on my back.🥴
and had limitations along with it , hence trying to re-sell it more than 30 years later

maybe the French pulled out at an early stage , this has been over-hyped for years

France has a version on the market, as do Russia, China and I assume the US
But i think we would be better off joining Korea and Japan..less easy but more suited i think

the logical enemies/invaders of Japan/South Korea are relatively close even if an extremist government took control of the Philippines and attacked Japan

you have ( obviously ) North Korea , China , Russia and Mongolia , less likely are Vietnam , Malaysia , while India is only likely to come in as an ally to a major nation

i can't see the advantage of Japan/South Korea spotting a potential attack from several thousand miles away when most major threats are much closer , now IF Japan gets lured into providing major support to a China/Taiwan war or North v. South Korean war , Japan ( and the foreign military bases there ) would be uncomfortably close to the conflict
