Australian Politics General...

@IFocus , were starting to get a bit of deja vu happening , everyone piled on ScoMo when he wanted to know what was happening on key portfolios, during covid, so that he could face the media without a flck up.

Now we have Labor sending in the PM's dept, to make sure there isn't a flck up, in a department.
Nothing much changes, Albo isn't going to let a stupid minister make a blue. LOL.

Or next GG is a global warming evangelist, an ex-Labor staffer and friend of the PM. Who would have thought?

If these allegations are true, they do no favours for Bruce Lehrmann.

Channel 7 allegedly paid for illicit drugs and prostitutes for Lehrmann to try and get him to do an interview.

Maybe Lehrmann's true personality is emerging.

It looks pretty bad for Lehrmann and Seven. But, has it anything to do with the case? I think I read somewhere he might have lied about the 7 relationship, but everyone is lying. It's a complete cluster.

Any other person's traits, such as your own, you would like to make derogatory comments about?

Other traits she seems to have is being a woke grifter, taking advantage of quotas and affirmative action to take board positions that she didn't actually deserve. This is one of the worst GG appointments in history. No surprise from this woke Labor government though. Let's hope she doesn't get tempted to start raising alarm at the shifting temperature and biological men not being able to play women's sport. The more I read about her second class achievements the more I realise this is an absolutely moronic appointment.

The case is over and won't be resurrected, but it shines some light on Lerhmann's personality.

Rape cases usually come down to "who do you believe?". This could change some people's mind about Lerhmann, not that it really matters unless Brittany decides to take civil action.

Agree, he's losing any cred that he had. But Higgins dug herself into a grave as well. Both completely unreliable witnesses. What a debacle. There will be a mini series about this one day. If it hasn't already started.

The evil Murdoch press is going to rip this apart. She's toast.

Another Airbus fail. What a disaster.

The nation's incoming governor-general has likened Australia Day to "invasion day" in online posts, "triggering accusations Anthony Albanese had appointed an "activist" as the King's representative.

Conservative political lobbying group Advance has branded the appointment of Sam Mostyn as an "insult to mainstream Australians" and claimed her elevation revealed the Prime Minister cared "more about the activists and elites than the people working hard to make this nation great."

"Mostyn is the worst kind of corporate activist who campaigned against the majority of Australians in the divisive Voice referendum," said Advance executive director Matthew Sheahan. "In social media posts she has now deleted, she has argued to change the date of Australia Day, which she has also referred to as “Invasion Day”."

It would be great if Mostyn could change the date by decree signed off by King Charlie bit like giving a Knighthood to Phil.

@Sean K Has the trilogy already been set in motion.
Both a pair of duds, just oxygen thieves.

After reading about Mostyn life to date actually one of the better balanced Governor Generals we will have, not just a one dimensional elitist military offer, lawyer, priest or politician.

That Murdock hit peace really is poisonous and banal.

Also looks like cancel culture has hit my other comment got deleted. o_O

I think both parties personalities were exposed, when they went to Parliament house after a night on the slops.
All that has happened since IMO, is it has been further and further exposed.

Why would she? He is just looking for his prize payment.
There are workers that have worked their whole lives and would never be able to accumulate, what two people who basically behaved badly are in line to pick up for their bad behaviour.
The World has gone mad, is there any wonder the working class are becoming disenfranchised.
Politics is become a cult sect of socially and morally dissfunctional people IMO.
What do we actually know? Two political staffers went out on the booze, then they bothe walked into Parliament house late at night. The bloke walked out some time later, the lady was found laying semi naked or naked in an office.
The lady woke up with him on top of her apparently, but failed to contact security and or go to a Doctor immediately.
ALl weird stuff, but a huge money spinner for all involved.
Maybe I'm missing something only my memory of the media reports.
Most places I've ever worked at both would have been suspeneded pending dismissal and the police called in.

Definitely. When you think of people like James Ashby, Peter Slipper, Bronwyn Bishop Christain Porter, Alan Tudge etc plus most of the Parliament who benefit from their own negative gearing laws, it's easy to see that they come first and the public second. About 6 months in the ivory tower with the chauffered cars and airforce jets and free accommodation and they lose all touch with reality.
