No point in us re-inventing the wheel.IMO it is great that the Government isn't listening to ghosts and are making their own decisions on current issues, let's be honest we have to be dependent on someone.
The country is way too big and underpopulated, to be able to defend and or produce enough military equipment to put up enough resistance, without the aid of a major power.
It is just a question of which major power, we would prefer to align ourselves with. IMO

Apologise and pay compo or I’ll sue, Lehrmann tells ABC
Former Liberal staffer Bruce Lehrmann has warned the ABC he will sue for defamation over its broadcast of the National Press Club address by Brittany Higgins and Grace Tame.
Nah, You go after the ones with the biggest pockets, plus the one that gives the most political headaches. The ABC always broadcasts the National Press Club live, so it's hardly the ABC's fault if something defamatory was said.
If he wants to sue someone he should sue Brittany or Grace.
Maybe, but the ones with the deepest pockets hire the best lawyers and can drag things out as long as they can until the suer runs out of money.Nah, You go after the ones with the biggest pockets, plus the one that gives the most political headaches.

Terrifying ?No the media have bigger fish to fry ATM.
Once the voice is bedded down, then it will be the Republic, then there will never be a Jaquie Lambie or a Pauline Hanson in Government ever again, they wont have enough money.
Bring on the Republic, then the elites can buy their seats, through the media. ? ? ?
Just have to get rid of the Governor General, because he can sack them and make them have an election.
I'm no monarchist but the republic debate is the biggest waste of time in Australian politics.Once the voice is bedded down, then it will be the Republic

It serves one purpose and one purpose only and that's to divert attention from failings of the government on matters far more important.
Housing, real wages, inflation, interest rates, infrastructure especially energy, environment, hospital overcrowding, education, roads, national security.......
Yes it will be an interesting one, especially when you consider Albo in his early political career, was an activist against the Governments selling off State housing.Speaking about real issues, the Greens say the government's housing plan doesn't go far enough, and the Libs say it shouldn't happen at all.
Labor to be forced to change major housing policy after opposition from Coalition, Greens
The federal government will likely be forced to change its housing plan, with both the Opposition and Greens raising concerns about the $10 billion fund.www.abc.net.au
"Deputy Liberal leader Sussan Ley argued the multi-billion-dollar fund would do little to address the housing issue.Yes it will be an interesting one, especially when you consider Albo in his early political career, was an activist against the Governments selling off State housing.
The Libs will be against it, to wedge Labor on housing at the next election.
With the amount of immigration Labor have proposed for the next three years, housing will be a diabolical mess, unless a huge amount is built.
There is some serious money flowing out of this political story. ?And the Brittany Higgins fallout continues.
