Anyone sat a UMAT or GAMSAT test?

I have just done a little research and my GPA of 5.21 is high enough for me to qualify to enter Bachelor of Dental Surgey, only needed a score of 5, so my next step is to get a high enough score in the UMAT test. YES;)

Following on from that I need to complete a Oral Assessment, anyone done one of these for either Dental or Medicine. How did you go? What kinds of questions were asked?

I am looking into Bachelor of Dentistry. The next step into admission is sitting a UMAT or GAMSAT test.

Has anyone done either test and what was their experience of the test.

I am a qualified dental assistant and have a non dental related degree with an average GPA of 5.21

GAMSAT:

I thought GPA was out of 4??

I have sat a UMAT (years ago) and its very deadly.
Beware of section 1.
That's what destroyed me.

I did the UMAT in 2003 (for entry into medicine in 2004). I would advise you not to waste your time and money on any of the exorbitantly priced prep courses. I did one and I don't believe it made any significant difference to my UMAT mark.

When you say 'oral assessment', you mean interview?

A GPA is out of 7, so I sit at the top end of a credit or 74%, 1% off a distinction, damn

I was thinking of buying the prep course book, but there is so much on-line already and its free too. Seems to me there is nothing to study, just brush up on reading/analysis/visual skills etc.

Yes it must be an interview of some type.

UMAT score has a weighting of 20%
GPA score has a weighting of 40%
and the oral assesment/interview has a weighting of 40%
