I buy a set of clippers every year or 2 at around $25 each.
I found the cheapish ones a bit hard to get last time, so when I did find them, I bought 2, so have a spare sitting around with the steel in 'em getting harder by the day.
Good for the beard too.
About 40 to 50 combined hair and beard cuts before they've worn out a bit. Gotta be corded ones, battery ones are crap.

You've got that idea from a movie haven't you?
How many times have you seen in movies, some crim on the run, changing their appearance by starting with giving themselves a hair cut with scissors.

It never ends well for them, and the haircut is always atrocious, but usually then dyed, or peroxided or a wig goes on etc

Try it yourself, then you know why I fork out so much for the clippers.
Time for a wash.

I brought my clippers in April 2020 during the first lockdown. I love it. I think the cost of my haircuts is below $5 or $6. It is reducing each time I cut my own hair. The back is messy but I have someone to fix it after she stops laughing.

Makes me wonder if the resurgence of the inherently ugly mullet (no offence etc) is a response to tough economic times.... it's extremely easy to self-barber hair at the front, not so easy at the back.

Basic cut went from $25 last year to $35 this year. Bullock has got it right, inflation is homegrown.

Fortunately, only have the sides to worry about. Bought the clippers in 2006 when we started travelling full time and Country Lass does a no.2 and tidies up the rest in no time. Considering a tattoo
