Hi Guys,

In general the concept of PT2 is great BUT geez there are some piss me off factors with this application. All I want to do is to be able to draw some lines and labels and have them stay on the chart....I can't seem to get this to happen. I set all of my charts up perfectly today, saved my workspace, everything stayed perfect while i was logged in and during toggling between different workspaces and back......but once I logged out and then back in all my lines, labels etc. are now gone!

Am I missing something or is this just the deal with PT2?

CommSec ProTrader2 problems & tips

HiGuys,

Any one else got Pro Trader 2 problems @ the moment. I have a number of issues mainly with the total cost of the trade being rounded up.. Which is causing problems with my totals....

I'm also getting no news and live data is not updating..

I called the helpdesk and was told this is a problem @ the moment and it will be fixed in a few days..

So I'm back to the web interface now... not happy...

anyway else got problems ?

Hi Motion,

You are so lucky - at least you can get to application. I could not get to application - it shows me error message " Failed to start application, please check your network connection"

The helpdesk responds so slow and told me to open port 80 and 443 - I did but I still get the same error message.....

Wishing you get this one fixed soon....Good Luck

G'day Guys,

well it's day 3 of the pro trader problem & I'm still no better off.. I have lost off my settings and now I'm not getting any live feeds... arhhhhh

Why do they not just role back the app and get people up and running... This is a really bad experience.... I'm very unhappy...

How are you guys going ?

First day off today and yeah mines a bit kangaroo edward too

Still have all my settings but no live feeds. Charting etc is mega slow too.

Have you guys been advised anymore or should I give em a call too?

Yep I'm still out I called again this morning and was told it will be early next week before it's fixed.. I'm very unhappy @ the moment... I'm using the web but really it's not giving me what I need..

I do not understand why they can not roll back until they have fixed the bugs...

but hey the more people that call the better

few things I noticed.

* Finding Version 1.027 much slower than version 1.026...
* XAO, XJO in marketh depth not showing % change
* Application start up takes longer to initlaise (startup)
* Trade Analysys chart displayed in random order

Test button says Done, though would be nice if it suggested what it was testing????

Otherwise still Operational 4 me.

EDIT: The updates have been a lot worse, so looking at the glass half full with this one.

I have both PT1 and PT2

Mostly PT1 is more reliable than PT2, why not install that as well, you use the same password etc.

I'm onto my 2nd week of problems anyone else still got problems.

I have never see pro trader 1 not sure about installing it.. I might ask.. but very unhappy

Everythings good now except for the calculations under my holdings.
The summing doesn't seem to have anything to do with values above :cautious:

great news... mine is freezing up when a big move happens and my depth summary is not working.. arhhhh I think it's time to ask for a refund..

Thats a bugger mate, I didn't realise how much I was in love with P2 until I lost my streaming ann's/depth etc

This update has been the only problem I've ever had with it?

Hey jtb,

Yep I'm in the same boat. I find it easy to use and a good interface to understand. I'm still having big problems but commsec do not care...

I have start looking around for another broker but @ the moment nothing really comes close to commsec...

You still got problems with it ?

I tried to put a trade in during the closing auction about 30secs before the end. Order did not hit the market but stayed in received.

How much will it cost today?

I added XAO in my Watchlist - it was ok for 2 days after that it shows blank for the past 2 days. If this does not work, Where can I see index somewhere else ?

I have come to the conclusion that Protrader 2 as currently provided is virtually unusable for short-term trading.... On multiple occasions over the last couple of weeks I have been prevented placing a strategic order by the time it takes to get an order into the market. This morning was yet another example....just getting the "new order" or "amend" windows up was a battle. By the time the order was finally "in" the market, I'd been passed by. What's the point of having all the info at the finger-tips if one is prevented from executing the trade chosen...
And do Comsec care? I think we are being used as guinea pigs in this....paying lab-rats

Contacted Comsec about 10.30 am today...been promised a call from "management" to explain/rectify the problem.....

Hi Col,

IMO Pro Trader 1 is still much better than PT2, why not install both (I have).

If one is down usually the other is working

I prefer PT1 and use it mostly.

You use the same log in details for either so quite simple
