bloody hell not again,

yesterday due to my newbie stupidity i accidentalôly bought mls at 4,10pm trades, am worried theyre going to get sold off today was hoping to be there at open to do so if that was likely, but now etrade is down again, , bloody hell x 3 !!!!!!!!!

damn etrade...
they know the problem but yet useless it ppl cant fix it
promise and promise but never give result...
what a "GOOD" broker they are

Look at thier share (ETR) go, while you guys are loosing money because of the systems/management... they're making money.

Sad but True.

Etrade is telling me that CEC is not a valid stock code when I ask for a quote, despite the ASX site telling me it's Coneco Limited and my chart showing it close yesterday at 66 cents.

Anyone else have any problems getting quotes or market depth for this stock?

[Edit: Hmm... and NAB says the same thing. Something funny about this stock code?]

Did a search on coneco on old etrade and all it came back with CECDA with a price of .65 and a trading basis of RD RE - but also told me CECDA was not a valid profile.

My charting software tells me CEC has not had any trades since 27.11.06 for some reason.Don't know if this helps.

That's interesting. So my supplier is making up data?

It's certainly very believable data though.

Oh well, plenty more stocks in the pool.

I think that usually …DA stock converts back to first 3 letters after some event, like reconstruction, split or consolidation.

Finally, in response to the thread title, I can now (mostly) answer "who cares?" :

More than a month after applying to move the HIN to NAB, and having access to the NAB account, the HIN has finally been transferred. As I suspected, it hadn't been moved because of unsettled trades - not that anyone bothered to contact me at all during that time to tell me that.

The main reason it got transferred even now was because I received an invoice from NAB for the premium service level since I hadn't made the minimum number of trades for the month. Naturally I rang to ask how they could possibly charge me for a service they weren't as yet providing, and after a bit of trying to palm me off with excuses like the premium is for the live data, not the ability to trade, I managed to get them to reverse the charge - and transfer the HIN while they were at it.

So now my trading account is with NAB, although my investment account is still with Etrade. Let's see how NAB goes for trading...

Not the best start for NAB –experience-, but aren’t they all after faceless profit?

I didn't notice any marked E*T speed improvement sice you left.
Any others thinking of departure?

I will likely be switching early next year after the latest disappointment. I tried to enrol for Power Etrade. They promised a turnaround of 2 working days. I applied in late November. I have sent 3 reminders since and have had no response. I will send out a final reminder today; if I don't hear by the end of the week with a lot of grovelling and an offer of some free tades, I'm gone. Apparently they don't want my business.

Same problems with me.
I sent my application on November 7th.
I have never been able to log in.
Iv spent hours on the phone, spoken to 4 different people, theyve given me 3 different trading passwords. Its just unacceptable.

I just got off the phone with them and BLASTED them. Im closing my account today. ANd im getting my $80 back.

I think maybe Sanford might be worth a look. $22 brokerage.

There is one little problem; Iress must place cookies on your machine, if you don’t allow, you will never get it to work.

Possibly you know that, but if not, try to disable Firewall for Iress application.
