Perhaps third time lucky for a default? If that happens then I expect a nasty correction even a if they credit downgrade the US.

I guess credit default swaps in the US are going to be more expensive very soon.

The whole thing seems akin to staying awake and having yet another beer in order to postpone waking up with the inevitable hangover.

Nothing has actually been fixed here. All they've done is convince the man behind the bar and the bouncer out the front to let them have a few more drinks and keep the pub open a bit longer.
