The Woggle this mystical snake must be many miles long. I have worked on several sites fence building where there are wet lands and this mystical "thing" is always a problem. But if many dollars are forwarded on a daily basis then all is OK. B/SNope, the spirits and sacredness is all made up.
'Lousy Little Sixpence' uses a modern medium as Document. And it is now 40 odd years old.
*Made about the time Be-jelke Peterson was running Fred Hollows out'a Queensland for informing the Aboriginals he was treating, of a poverty related illness, of their voting rights.
*Made years before Keating's Redfern speech. Which was a cut&paste used by Stan Grant who then copped the pile on a couple of weeks back.
This education of Australian Aboriginal History of your's JohnDe, was it ever described in terms as.... 'What we have to face as a nation and we haven't faced yet' he said 'is that the occupation of this vast island continent was a pretty brutal and genocidal occupation.'
Which Minister for Aboriginal Affiars said that?
Wayne in agreeance with you on this post except for the last paragraph, perhaps, maybe or not. It's interesting the proponents of the yes case here seem intent on making the case that we're all racists, so we should vote yes for a most likely ineffectual bureaucracy.
In my experience however, the vast majority of modern day Australians are magnanimous towards the indigenous and would love nothing more than to see them do well, both economically and socially.
We don't see The Voice as being the right vehicle for for that, however. We see that as merely cementing the gravy train for the elites, no change for the grass roots, and the promulgation of community and racial division.
For this, we are called racists, when in fact the exact opposite is the case.
History will judge Albanese as the great divider and his dream of a Curtinesque legacy up in smoke. He will be like Whitlam, revered only by delusional Marxists.
You think even the Marxists will hate his guts too?Wayne in agreeance with you on this post except for the last paragraph, perhaps, maybe or not.
you not working today Wayne? Me I have an aversion to getting wet un-necessilarlyYou think even the Marxists will hate his guts too?
Had to cancel a couple, but more to do this arvo (they've got a barn).you not working today Wayne? Me I have an aversion to getting wet un-necessilarly
Didn't see the weather change coming in Fog and drizzle, the wood fire is a comfort on these days, even though there is plenty to do in the sheds.Had to cancel a couple, but more to do this arvo (they've got a barn).
Wayne I notice in this artcle of getting grass root information only the well heeled were invited, not the average and not so average Struggle Street bods and hmm not a 1st Peoples inhabitant to be seen.In lieu of an appropriate thread....
This is part of why the entire population of Australia should go on a tax strike.
How is that a language has had no written syntax forever, suddenly have words that are spelled one way but pronounced another.K'gari/Fraser Island is in the final stages of officially returning to its traditional name, with community consultation on the proposal drawing to a close this week.
The world's largest sand island is already known as K'gari by Queensland National Parks and in the World Heritage title, but is expected to become universally official by the end of the year.
K'gari, pronounced "Gurri", means paradise.
Hmm over paid advisers seeing a golden cash cow on the horizon, perhaps. One of the reasons that I, along with obviously a few others, have reservations about a voice, is that I can see "the Voice(tm) being hijacked by white folks.
An example of this is the recent decision to ranme fraser Island K'gari.

Who decided that the word the original inhabitants, the Butchulla people, had for Fraser island should be spelt the way it is when the Butchulla had no written syntax at all?
I can see the dead hand of a white anthropologist here, perhaps believing that making up an obscure spelling somehow gives it more legitimacy.
I have seen the same garbage with the Edwards River referred to as Kolety in the MDBA reports, but they say it is pronounced Koletch.
How on earth they arrived at that spelling is beyond me. i wrote to the MDBA once and asked them how they got these spellings, but was told it was on advice form their first nations consultants.
Why they do not use phonetic spelling is beyond me. It cannot be as a result of cultural niceties or indigenous spelling.

I know of at least two of such cretins, white fellas hopping on the indigenous funding gravy train, sh*tstirring along the way to maximise their incomes.Hmm over paid advisers seeing a golden cash cow on the horizon, perhaps.

THE VIOCE in working motionFurther leaked messages revealed Mr Sharaz secured Ms Higgins a job as media adviser with the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria through his friend Emma Webster, a senior adviser to Finance Minister Katy Gallagher when she was ACT chief minister. Ms Webster previously worked as a top adviser for former prime minister Julia Gillard and Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews.
In a message to Ms Higgins on January 1, 2021, he wrote: “Emma wants me to tell you that she’s about to advertise for a media adviser. It’s 80-90k and if you need a job for a short term to fill a void.”
He described the job as helping to “progress the Treaty”, as he celebrated the possibility of his “two favourite women” working together.
This is what these leftist jerks *actually think of the indigenous .
If you are talking about Jacinta clearly she hates blackfellas and makes it very clear, go fugue, no representation there.
I respect your opinion but beg to differ
Opposition Indigenous Affairs spokeswoman Jacinta Nampijinpa Price said an apology to her would be "the decent thing to do" after a tape revealed television presenter Lisa Wilkinson mocking her name.
"Obviously they're rather derogatory and racist comments. That level of arrogance and ignorance doesn't surprise me," Senator Price told 2GB on Friday morning.
"It's quite disappointing but it doesn't surprise me. I would be interested to know who their black friends are.
"I would absolutely expect an apology from the Ten Network, from Lisa Wilkinson herself, that would be the decent thing to do."
Audio from a meeting with Ms Wilkinson, her producer Angus Llewellyn, Brittany Higgins and her partner David Sharaz revealed the television personality commenting on Senator Price’s name.
"[The Liberal Party] has preselected over twenty new and wonderfully diverse and strong female candidates like, and what's her name, Nam… Nampinjumba? She’s an indigenous woman," Ms Wilkinson could be heard saying in the tape.
"As soon as I looked at it I thought, Oh, you’re joking."
Mr Sharaz: “It’s like, I’m not racist. I’ve got a black friend.”
Wilkinson: “And our cleaner’s black.”
Whether it gets up or not, is out of our control, it is a majority issue.Cheers Rump the intentions of the Voice are very clear nothing like the negative comments here it will be a missed opportunity IMHO
