@sptrawler oh well put Sir sp, but I wonder if the Powers That Be are really cncerned how the peasants, the ones that foot the bill, are travelling, as it appears to me the so-called disadvantaged will be the advantaged if this mongrel vote wins.

Wouldn't be surprised if China doesn't become a major food supplier, starting with milk. Over the years have bought many thousands of dairy cattle. Sheep also were a huge investment up untill a couple of years ago.

Everything to do with an investment property costs more, insurance, land rates, and even the water charges cost more in Brisbane. The big winner is capital gain taxes because people barely pay it on personal property of residence. Then you have all forced services where everyone pays GST. The rental market will end up being another industry run by sharks because they'll be the only people game to touch it.

Well I voted this morning (Tuesday( had the usual questions asked and one was had I voted elsewhere on the referendum. Then I had my name ticked/crossed off on the laptop the lady was using. I don't think double voting by someone with the same name, at the same address, with the same suburb is possible.

Doesn't say that people can't move from booth to booth, it would be interesting to know how this is handled in normal elections.
 
If they admit to getting double votes, it is obvious to blind Freddy that it goes on. Singing your name off means nothing, all they've used at every Qld election that I've been to is a bit of paper with names on it that they cross off.

Yes it appears to be an "honesty" system.

Probably there are not enough staff to check if people have voted more than once.

They have technology that knows more about us than we do ourselves, facial recognition tech, cameras that can detect whether you're on your phone or not wearing a seatbelt etc....

.... And they don't have tech to know if someone votes multiple times? Yet you cop a fine if you don't vote?

Something doesn't add up here.
 
Should the YES campaign get up it will set some dangerous precedents.

  • Enshrine in Indigenous Culture Alcoholism and Drug Dependence.
  • Enshrine in Australian Culture the Primacy of Welfare Earnings over that of Work Earnings
  • Embed the fallacy that throwing money at a culture failing to evolve is not counterproductive to its peoples.
  • Set up a bureaucracy based on race.

Should the No campaign get up it will give Australia and its Indigenous Peoples a chance to sort out the problems of Australia within an Australian context assuring an Australian fair go solution.

I'm voting NO.

gg I voted yesterday with a NO vote from me.
Had my name ticked or crossed off on the computer which I assume is linked to a master one.

After I cast my resounding No vote yesterday, as there wasn't anyone queuing to get the necessry How to Vote pamphets, I spent a few minutes taking to the two blokes outside.
The Yes man wasn't very positive with his followers saying not many were going in the affirmative.
On the other hand, the No man was more than happy with what he was hearing.
Perhaps this will be a resounding disclosure of what a waste of taxpayers $360 million is.
Two points of view reached on that.
