how about they stop spending our money to the tune of 300k a years to write scrips for hacks to convince the simple people that a fsild stupid politition is still useful

The *only* thing GDP growth positive is massive immigration, hence the desperation to shoehorn as many new arrivals into this country as possible. It is nothing more than kicking the can down the road and cynical attempt by the labor party not to get their @ss voted out at the next election.

In France, after Mitterand was elected in 1981 (recession year), the gates were open to unlimited immigration.
Within the 7y/10y the French cycle of reelections was over, there were enough "New French" voters to ensure the usual 50/50 left/right political system was twisted to left only;
Since then, even the so call right parties are just a socialists similar to our Right Labour faction..socialism all the same as anything else get outvoted.
There is a slight chance that a far right candidate might popup when native french people of all previous sides vote together..but unlikely
SO do not believe the opening of the floodgate is just RE market support and GDP fake growth.
It is foremost a destruction of the Australian electorate
back to your hard earned taxed dollars, I heard today on the radio news 2 billions..yes 2000 millions AUD, has been spent on NDIS for what ended as drug, trips and other corruptible purposes.

Australia's economy grew by 0.1 per cent over the first three months of 2024 and 1.1 per cent over the year, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) national accounts.

Treasurer Jim Chalmers said it wasn't a surprise to see the economy barely growing, but Australia was still doing better than many comparable countries.

"The primary cause of this very weak growth was higher interest rates, combined with moderating but persistent inflation and ongoing global uncertainty," he said.

"But any growth is welcome in the domestic and global circumstances we confront.

After watching the Accurrent Affair programme a couple of nights ago and the follow up last night, NDIS is being milked solidly with both hands.
The scamming woman in question should have everything taken from her and then thrown in gaol for stealing as a servant for starters.
Minister W Shorten did have the decency to come onto the show and try to explain how good his department was doing, b/s.
But the wheels of Government turn ever so slowly and in the meantime this woman and others of her ilk are able to carry on milking the system and destroying the lives of some very vulnerable people.
We were left with Minister Shorten assuring all and sundry that justice will be done, but how long and when???? !!!!!

Shorten has identified 5 to 10% of NDIS transactions are dodgy. The previous governments have not administered the NDIS properly. Sharks everywhere.

It will be interesting to see how he can fix this I want to see the police involved and arrests made. Assets seized as a result of crime. There also needs to be money spent on physically auditing the work nor relying on paperwork.

Out of the 5 bullet points for the focus and development mapping:
-absolutely none related to business or anything promoting actual wealth generation, business support or productive infrastructures .
There is one Transport sub dot but all about public transport and BS climate change impact, business benefits would not even have been considered

There is no wealth to share if there is no wealth generation..is that so hard to get in this country, and actually in the West?
That is the situation on the ground, where my tax money get spent and I know this is very similar on the neighbouring Teal Noosa shire.
Am I wrong suspecting this is a national trend?
