The NRA

Yeah fair enough, I like bombs and explosives, give me the same freedoms as the gun idiots have.

I like to keep these explosives in my house, I wont use them of course I just like to look at them

Don't worry about my mental state, the psych says I might be ok

I have my rights too you know

Guns symbolise killing and war.

Perhaps they should not be used for sport in any form.

And the target is often defenceless. At least with football and tennis for example, we have equal amicable contest.

NRA is being expose for extensive fraud and self dealing by its leaders. Remember this is registered as a not-for-profit organisation much like a charity and enjoys tax exempt status.
I don’t trust them any more’: how the NRA became its own worst enemy
.
Far from a heady battle over the second amendment and soul of America, the non-profit organisation has been brought low by allegations of petty corruption and banal self-dealing.

The suit, filed in state court in Manhattan after an 18-month investigation, names the NRA as a whole and four senior executives including Wayne LaPierre, the executive vice-president who become the face of the NRA and frequently gives pro-Trump, red-meat speeches to thunderous applause.

LaPierre, in charge of the NRA’s day-to-day operations for nearly three decades, stands accused of spending millions of dollars on luxury black car services and private jet trips, including eight visits to the Bahamas, as well as accepting expensive gifts such as African safaris, hair and makeup for his wife and use of a 107-foot yacht. He also engineered a $17m post-employment contract for himself, according to the lawsuit.

North, a retired lieutenant colonel infamous for the Iran-Contra scandal of the 1980s, exited the NRA accusing LaPierre of behaving like a dictator. Chris Cox, the NRA’s longtime lobbyist, quit after being accused of working behind the scenes with North to undermine LaPierre.

Doesn't surprise me one little bit.

Big egos , big corruption.

Interesting profile on the big NRA donater who has been trying to get answers from the admin ion their practices.
'Wayne must go' – the staunch NRA supporter out to take down LaPierre
Speaking to the Guardian from Nashville, Tennessee, one of the NRA’s top donors was unrestrained in his criticism of LaPierre and the 76 members of the NRA’s board who he accused of collectively turning a blind eye to alleged financial impropriety.

“It makes me feel sad and depressed,” Dave Dell’Aquila said shortly after the New York lawsuit had been lodged. “And angry. Extremely angry. I’m angry that a 152-year-old historic institution has been taken down under Wayne LaPierre and his management team, while the board of directors let this happen.”

Were LaPierre tempted to try to squeeze Dell’Aquila into the same gun-hating, freedom-loathing pigeonhole in which he crams Letitia James, he would have a tough job. It’s not just that the former tech company boss is a lifetime member of the NRA and has given more than $100,000 to forward its core mission.
