The Media

@moXJO On the TV news tonight the WA Govt has been given Fed go-ahead for 10,000 trades to become workers here in WA.
That is all and fine, but where will they be housed.
We certainly will not be putting our remaining empty house up for lease/rent.
Been there, done that. Once bitten is enough.
Tradies on the east coast are already moving west. I've seen some of the shoddy work getting done by the trades they are bringing in. Had to write a few reports the other day for some real estates I know. Most are tear downs.

@moXJO The brickie we have currently re-building the wall around the back of our place has told me the same sort of thing.
But its not now it has been happening for some time.
On the spot training for a couple of months and whoopie a brickie
Most can't even mix up the mud properly.

I'll do reports for old customers from time to time over the years. I don't think I've seen it this consistently bad. They get the basics wrong which often means ripping the lot of and starting again.

What a joke that the media gets their knickers in a twist over the Fatima Payman issue when 99% of the population couldn't give a frogs freckle about her.
The issue that is getting brought up, is that she is being punished for having a different view to the party view, i guess sometimes they should just have issues that members can vote by conscience.

But it is funny that the media is pushing that barrow, when they themselves want to tell everyone how to think and hammer those that don't agree with them, really just another of life's ironies.

Is the media any different from the political party, in exercising its dominance and bullying, to demand conformity?

Maybe the media should read back through the articles they wrote about Folau and Court, when they were following their religious beliefs as Payman is when supporting her constituents, oh dear life always comes around to bite you on the ar$e. :roflmao:

The Australian Labor Party is the nation’s oldest political party and its age is showing.

As the federal parliamentary party turns itself inside out over Senator Fatima Payman’s decision to exercise her personal support for a Palestinian state, Labor’s MPs brandish caucus solidarity as an iron-clad principle.

Something

Something else they left out.

This is the reason why the media is in decline.

By having a bias, one way or the other, it leaves one group or the other group of followers disenfranchised.

The problem compounds, if they keep choosing which side they are going to take, or which issue they are going to be biased on, eventually you upset just about everyone over some issue or other.

That's where the media is right now, each media has gone from being an entertainment source and a trusted news source, to being an opinion and propaganda source that no one trusts.

Oh what a mess, they really have dug a big hole for themselves IMO, their entertainment market has been taken by the likes of Netflix, Disney, Amazon etc, their social content has been been taken by X, Tic Tok etc, their advertising has been taken by Google etc, their market place buy and sell has been consumed by Ebay, Aliexpress, Temu etc.

Meanwhile the only thing of value they had left IMO, they are constantly destroying further, unbiased credibility and integrity.

I think that's why there is a huge shakeup happening, as we speak, if they don't get the unbiased credibility and integrity back, they are toast, gone, kaput, finished. :2twocents

Then all the NBN will be is, cable TV, shopping channels and pay to watch if it is anything worth watching eg sport, movies that are actually in colour and not a 4x3 format.:roflmao:

Just my opinion.

ABC news interrupted Question Time to broadcast a statement from Fatime Payman.

Disgusting in my opinion.

Who cares about about her, the Parliamentary process is more important.

Remember how we constantly have to tell people (for years) the media is full of sht and pushing propaganda. Thank God the thinking is changing:

The Murdoch press.... again. I don't think even I could make a typo this bad and not pick it up.

More proof of print media going around the S bend.

Understandable. I have bought about one newspaper a year for about the last 20 years, and when I have they have been mostly ads, so why bother?
