The far left and right

Yeah, like me, Alt Centre

Yes, but you're not allowed to be there.
You have to be forgiving of everyone, and accept that those who don't want to contribute, should be subsidised.
Those who work hard should give more, and those who don't want to work, should be congratulated on there stand. lol
Welcome to the world, that all the refugees want to join. lol

ALL is not most, many, a few or even none.

Your generalisation is a insult to one of the good guys, in my opinion the best, most knowledgeable, we'll balanced, self-effacing and humorous members of ASF, being luutsu.

Jebus really? You using up luu's good name to virtue signal? He doesn't need you hanging off his coat tails fr fame.

A bit unfair there McGee.

For one, I don't think I have a good name - though I probably hold the record for a member being blocked by other members.

Two, Macquack was merely using me as an example of refugees who are good, honest, willing and able to contribute to advance Australia.

You can probably fault him on being too kind in his assessment. But good and kind people tend to be generous in all they do.

I find that insulting, I said "welcome to the world refugees all want to join",which Iuutsu has joined and has obviously become a contributing member.

If it wasn't the case refugees wouldn't be backed up in Indonesia, waiting to come here, I didn't infer that when they got here, they wouldn't become productive.
It is just your bigoted perspective, that wanted to put that spin on my post, and why such posts become obnoxious.
Maybe you need to take a look at yourself and your moral compass,I don't have a problem with mine.
Maybe you should ask Iuutsu, if I insulted him, or was adding perspective to the debate.
I don't need a flucking Duck telling me how to post, after three months holidays, and you have the audacity to say Trump is a dick?

I think Macquack was spot on in his interpretation of what you wrote. Though I don't think he was characterising you as such and such. Just saying it was insulting to refugees to be seen as wanting to "migrate" to western countries for the welfare and free money.

I don't know any, and can't imagine there being any, refugee who risked their lives so that they can receive welfare payment. Growing up, I never heard or knew any refugee parents telling their kids to quit school and don't bother getting a job because getting welfare is the end game.

I do know plenty who work round the clocks, save up to send a hundred or two a month back to their parents or impoverished siblings, push their kids to study and help with their work after hours - what child labour law? Back in my country, you'd be lucky to work and eat... :)

There's a few reason for the state and media spreading these bs about "migrants" seeking asylum for welfare benefits.

1. It excuse morally bankrupt politicians from their screwed up decisions. First they vote for foreign wars. And wars are almost always conducted on defenceless people. Wars are always fought for control and domination. Wars also sell arms, "create jobs" ie. make lots of profit.

Now, not all civilians get splattered all over the place, a lot less since carpet-bombing is made a war crime. So some of them managed to escape the bombs and the raids. A few even managed to cross the ocean, walk on foot across countries and knock at your door.

How do you stop that nonsense?

Migrants seeking welfare. And raping our women. Probably will kill us all in our beds.

2. If the state can manage to convinced the plebs to hate and despise those whose home were destroyed and escaped from violence. It's not going to be hard to convince them that grannies and lazy druggos doesn't deserve welfare payment, or healthcare, or proper food.

3. It shamed the natives who are struggling from seeking help.
If all those on welfare are lazy and cheats, if only they'd bothered to work they can find good paying jobs. So why are you, a native who was born here, be thinking about getting some help from your governemnt, the ones you've been paying taxes to all these years.

4. Results in less spending on welfare.

Less spends on the poor mean more money for the rich, more money for bombs and foreign adventures to secure us against people we bombed.

Well.. the fourth one is probably not completely accurate... some pricks just get a kick out of seeing other people suffer. It make them feel like they've earned their inheritance.

I have a lot of friends who are Vietnamese. All hard working and always were. Into every scam under the sun, but damn if they don't work hard.

Good and kind people don't use good people to attack someone else with "insults". While I'm sure you are happy to have a couple of members singing your praises, you must ask yourself why they have had an epiphany while simultaneously deriding others who don't deserve it ...... Machiavelli 101.

Who did vandalise the makeshift shrine? My bet is a femme banal stoking the fire.

Here's Mark on one of his hate femminazi routines

To say that you find something insulting is not a personal attack McGee. You should know that.

Deriding an idea or an opinion is not the same as deriding the person themselves. We all hold stupid, misinformed, plainly wrong ideas... doesn't make us stupid. To say that our stupid ideas are stupid and here's why... that's not personal insult, just intellectual debate. Well, unless you're a snowflake :D

Macquack was saying that it is insulting to refugees, one of them being myself, to be seen as economic migrants wanting to come in and be on welfare, for life. Not contributing, not escaping from any danger, just doing it for the free money.

As said above and elsewhere, that is wrong on all level.

More importantly, that kind of propaganda results in the likes of Trump and Sessions bragging about tearing kids away from their parents when they come seeking asylum; the same bs that allow those welfare/tax-dodging/subsidies entitled, warmongering rich a**holes to have the nerve telling people from war torn, economically devastated, environmentally desolated places that they themselves caused... telling those people to get the fark away.

Treating as literal criminals those who risk everything for an opportunity to work and live in peace. Breaking international law, the moral law, the bloody ethics their own Bible teaches.

It's a good thing to find that bs insulting.

Some do exactly that.

People like yourself and the majority of Europeans came here, worked hard and are welcome, later migrants from Arabic countries see a great free ride at the expense of the infidels.

No they don't. They're just the latest scapegoats and victims in the current propaganda against everything.

Not saying there are no crimes committed by refugees, that they're all angels and such. But by and large, all refugees, no matter their cultural background or religious belief, work hard, push themselves and their kids a lot harder than they ought to.

It's like they threw their lives to the wind and then found that they somehow managed to survived and given a chance to start all over. So will make the most of it.

That and it's out of necessity.

Useful idiocy Grasshopper.

Useful idiocy Grasshopper.

Indeed.

Noble militaries do not wage wars on good guys, or normal human beings. They fly to the other side of the world to smash evil, bring hope to blah blah.

But never mind the Muslims that's over there. Focus on the ones that made it over to here.

Let's cut welfare, family assistance because, as we all know, only Muslim refugees and druggos uses those. And if gutting them also happen to hurt old granny Smith or lil Jack and Jill... gotta make sacrifices now don't they?

It's not that hard to see these when you imagine yourself in the shoes of those entitled masters of the master race.

It's useful to remember the criterion used by the Australian Government when selecting migrants.

It was always the case that migrants should have no impact on the health and social services in Australia. In practical terms that meant if any member of a potential migrant family had any physical/intellectual problem the family wouldn't get approval. If we are clear eyed about it we would recognise that the migrants brought to Australia were largely cheap workers for the manufacturing industry.

In 2018 the criteria is still one of healthy, skill based migrants preferably with loads of cash. The humanitarian component is always very limited and we still insist on healthy skilled people.

There is an excellent analysis of the history of migration to Australia from every country in the world . Pictures, graphs , breakdowns.

Not necessarily. Family reunion does not require only healthy skilled people. The family already here has to sponsor to the arrivals, but if they fall on hard times and can't support the arrivals, guess who does ?

When I think back on the Yugoslavs, the Italians, the Greeks, the Brits, they arrived with a work ethic, the hope for a new life free of the old world class systems and a willingness to play by the rules, enrich our culture and assimilate as best they could. Bringing Grandma and Grandad over wasn't all that common.

Sure there are some deleterious second gens who carry some misplaced malaised loyalty to the old world and want to import the disease of political correctness etc., but by and large they are good Australians first I'm sure.

Lighten up sptrawler, must have been a sh*t holiday or you need another one.

What has Trump got to do with the price of refugees in Australia?
