The far left and right

Was it leftie Peter FitzSimons who called a black man a "gorilla" on Australian TV and he got away with it because none of his fellow sheep (who are no doubt mortified by Roseanne Barr,) complained.

In AFL a gorilla could apply to both black and white men; ie large forwards with long arms and low brows.

Same Pete who bayed for harsh justice against a 13 yearold AFL girl fan for calling Adam Goodes an "ape"?

Dear God...
All it showed is people get triggered off basic siht and jump into the like minded side.

Which issues are we debating or are we just throwing random stuff together?

When you post links to facts, you get emotional rubbish in return. The only time you guys gleefully respond is to base level trolling.

Sure I'm not just exposing you all to uncomfortable conversation?

Maybe a bit of trolling. Tisme hasn't really been pulling his weight.

P.S. sorry junior, that was aimed at no one in particular.

No worries moXJO.

Contrary to what a few members may believe here, I am absolutely not one of those far left individuals being discussed. If you had to place me somewhere on the political spectrum I'm in the middle, and like to form my own opinion on any particular issue. I don't like the far left or the far right, they are both dangerous or at least very annoying.

With regards to being offensive and being offended, I think some people need to realise that we are all offended from time to time and that's OK. Hopefully you get an apology, and if you don't, then the offensive individual can get stuffed, and you don't have to be friends anymore.

Turkey and Poland are now strongly right wing governments. How is that panning out for the citizens who don't share this view?

Turkey and Poland: two nations paralysed by rightwing populism

Ece Temelkuran
Our two nations can feel solidarity in how our revolutions turned into authoritarianism. Is there hope for us? Of course

“A true patriot of her country and Europe.” This is how I was described during the Ambassador of New Europe award ceremony speech at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk, Poland. My book, Turkey: The Insane and the Melancholy (Turcja: Obłęd i Melancholia), was why I was there. It is partly a personal account of the rising authoritarianism that has downgraded people like me to being second-class citizens in our own countries. That is why those words were so meaningful to me: a balm only familiar to those who have felt that warm sting of copper wire through their chest when described as traitors in their own country.

Apparently Edogan has told his citizens in other countries to have 5 kids not 3. Expansion by out breeding.

Saw an interview with that independent investigative journalist Edward Snowden trusted enough to invite to HK to help destroy democracy.

Apparently he had a Twitter exchange with Roseann Barr a few years back and let just say that the makers of Ambien is right that racism is not a known side effect Got to love their PR people for that one.

She don't like the black, the browns, the Muslims and the gays too much. Probably are alright with the Jews though.

And I bet all the Muslim husbands around the world are using that line to get lucky with their women.

You heard The Man. Gotta make babies so we will one day rule the world through having more people.

The world's going democratic. One person, one vote. Better get there before the Chinese with their plans to let the womb go free next few years.

btw, did you know that 1% of people in the world owns 66% of its wealth? That some half dozen douche have more wealth than the lower half of the world's 7billion people?

Yeah if they want to complain they can stop using facebook or any of the other companies the masses lap up.
Wake me up for the revolution.

Its easier now to leverage the masses and make a buck then ever before. I was watching a very country bumpkin thai monetizing his youtube, facebook and instagram. The guy was literally in the backwaters. He went viral and made more then he every would under normal circumstances.

Its never been easier to leverage an idea.

Libs cracking down on the Internet has got me pis$ed though. Effectively putting a garden wall around Australian Internet.
Screw you Morrison.

And predominantly white ...by nature, but I'm sure the Chinese invented billionaires first...back in the Ming Dynasty probably.

Na. Probably the Greeks or the Persians.

What about the Pharoahs ?

Oh yes, forgot about them. You're right, the Pharaohs.

Funny enough, US economist and Marxist [Marxist economist?] was quoting some study saying that wealth inequality in the world today is the highest they've been since, literally, the times of the Pharaohs.

Childhood poverty in Western countries are rising to obscene level. People working, as in having jobs working, two or three jobs and still couldn't managed to earn enough to make ends meet.

I'll be very surprised if there aren't a bloody revolution within the next two decades. It wouldn't be just in the currently poor countries either. It'll be Europe, the UK, US... Hopefully our Australian servants smarten up in time to stop their current plans of further screwing the poor and working class.

It was probably whichever culture first discovered hyperinflation.

Or those who discovered there's a God/Heaven and he's the chosen go-between. Then surround himself with properly armed and well rewarded thugs who's not afraid to kick azz and lopping off heads.

It depends on which country you live in.. EG USA Republicans dont equate to Liberals/Tory nor do USA Democrats equate to Labor/Labour.. Think of a scale like a Ph scale. when 7 the middle is equal. and the the sides either way are exponential. So and increase of 1 is really a tenfold increase. Might be a bit extreme with human interactions but its a better analogy that a flat scale.
But different countries political divides START on different positions on the scale. Eg in the USA the democrats are more right of the AUS Labor, and the Republicans are more right of Liberals.
your Zero point has to be adjusted for each country.

IMO, the far right, far left are the nutters no one wants to talk about let alone acknowledge!. But we will pinch some of their ideas and make them palatable....

Bernie Saunders was way to the left of our Labor Party and could have been Pres. Moreover, there are plenty in the Dems like him.

No, I think they have moved waaaaaaay to the left, openly piercing SocIalism
