Just commenting on this bit and noting both are themselves consequences of the policies of successive governments.
Neither existed to any meaningful extent well within living memory.
The number of Muslims in Australia and thus their political influence is primarily a consequence of immigration isn't it?The current governments fear of losing votes from the extreme left, Greens, a Muslim political movement and not acting in the best interest of the country because of that fear has nothing to do with previous governments.

And the influence of the Greens on Labor is a consequence of Labor having prioritised their demands ahead of it's traditional working class support base for long enough to have largely lost that working class support and become politically dependent on Green preferences?
@john De I don't think matters what brand of politicians are firmly seated on their comfy leather lounge chairs.Totally different issues.
I agree that immigration has been poorly handled, but to blame previous governments for Labor’s current grab for votes over morality is ridiculous.
The current Labor government has gambled Australia’s generations of religious and political civility for votes.
Trying to pass some of the blame onto others is just an excuse to try and save the silverware.
Anyone or any government that is more concerned in saving their seat over protecting our freedoms and peace needs to be voted out.
Goodbye Albanese and your ministers
This is far from good enough. The perpetrators of these cowardly actions when caught need to have the maximum penalty with no parole levelled at them and should also be publicly shamed to boot.View attachment 191714
“This (national cabinet) is a step that we called for in early December, and it is deeply saddening that the announcement comes in the wake of an arson attack on a child care centre,” Executive Council of Australian Jewry co-chief executive Peter Wertheim said.On Friday, the former eastern suburbs home of the ECAJ’s other co-convener, Alex Ryvchin, was targeted by attackers who doused it in red paint and torched two cars parked on the street.
As a rider to my earler post, I am just an average Australian bloke with a family who was brought up to give and take in a fair way.View attachment 191714

I'm not a religious person but don't have an axe to grind with any religion as long as they observe what is legal in this country.
The attacks on the Jewish Community is against all that I was brought up to believe.
The hatred that has been brought into Australia by some immigrants cannot be tolerated under any circumstance, but it seems to be a world wide problem now.
These are not the kind of migrants that we need or want here at anytime.
End of rant
@john De I don't think matters what brand of politicians are firmly seated on their comfy leather lounge chairs.
Their main and only goal is to retain that seat no matter what.
So be it Labour, Liberal, Greens, Teals, Independents are all tared with the retain our seats at whatever it takes.
I’m not as cynical as you, I still believe there is still good humanity.
There are too many socialist and leftist politicians, they all have a common goal to keep the centre right out of power. When people say what you did above it works in the favour of the Greens, Teals, Climate 200, and so on, which strengthens the left in Labor.
I still believe that Bob Hawke lead to improve the country, not himself. And the same with John Howard, they wanted a better country for all. Of course they needed to try and win seats, but they had principles.
A vote for an independent, is a win for the far left in the next government.
Both play to Australians natural bent toward apathy, so the vocal minorities talk over the the introverted and generally insececure mainstream centre, it will come to an end when things get bad enough that even the meekest speak up.Just commenting on this bit and noting both are themselves consequences of the policies of successive governments.

And at the same time made the pay rise a lot less than than the cost incurred, to the lowest paid, by the Government induced inflationary cost increases. Are you upset because Labor has increased wages and conditions for the lowest paid?
Who is far left in power?
Note its not the Labor Party who believe in neo neoliberalism...
Are you upset because Labor has increased wages and conditions for the lowest paid?
Say what? In no sense does that chinless cretin deserve another term. The great dilemma being that neither does Dutton deserve government either.Hopefully Albo gets another term, he deserves it, Australia deserves it.
@wayneL I'll nominate you Wayne if you stand for parliamentSay what? In no sense does that chinless cretin deserve another term. The great dilemma being that neither does Dutton deserve government either.
Well stocked refreshment arena in Parliament House though.Haha,
Haha, too many skeletons in the closet for that I'm afraid.

Just the same songbook as Hawke and Keating, give with one hand and take twice as much with the other.
It doesn't bother me, but it hurts those at the bottom a lot more, a short sharp recesion, can have better long term outcomes than giving people a 10% payrise while everything goes up 30% and rents and house prices double isn't good for aspirational Australians.
Hopefully Albo gets another term, he deserves it, Australia deserves it.
So are you saying Labor shouldn't have raised wages and tighten conditions for the lowest paid?
Should they just continue the Coalition policy of lowest paid being part time with reduced safety provisions in their work place?
