That's why I wasn't winning yet. But I'm just keeping the seat warm for qldfrog, happy to come second.

If our debtfree black moor wants to put up another chart he's more than welcome as far as I'm concerned! I didn't expect to be *up* on a day like today!

probably the wrong question to ask ( yourself )

are you picking good stocks ( with a future ) and are they cheap enough to buy and keep ( SOME , you should always keep an eye on taking SOME profit ) 'forever '

losing in the 'comp' but winning in your portfolio , might be a very nice place to be

PS or maybe you need a change of stock selection strategy

My tipping has nothing to do with my real portfolio because I have picked these stocks at random. Only joining in so that I can write some posts. Otherwise I would be inactive. Most times I have no clue about the stocks I pick.

Strangely I have won one First place, one or two second and I think two third place even though my selections were just random ?
 
Quick chart update ....... a state of war has now been declared between the top 2 (@Sdajii & @qldfrog ) and, the early leader of the comp (@brerwallabi) is now trying to take advantage of it.
@Faramir, the question needs to be asked, where is @frugal.rock ?

I'm heading out soon and won't be back until Saturday afternoon so I won't be able to post the end of the week update tonight, my apologies Folks .

 
End of Week 3 in the September Monthly Tipping Competition. Another tough week with plenty of red numbers around with the XSO down -4.09% and ASF Team's Average fairing worse, down -5.18% .
Only 14 out of 34 Tipsters have positive figures . Only 1 yellow highlighted cell in the weekly column @Sdajii up 16.84% and 4 in the daily columns with 1 really good daily one @Faramir up 22.09% .

@Sdajii AGY 33.73% had a great week (up 16.87%) and has 1st Place for this weekend and has out-jumped @qldfrog PLS 25.75% in 2nd Place, who could only go sideways this week .
@brerwallabi LNR 17.39% lost a little this week but still retains 3rd Place just ahead of @TLS CKA 15.38% in 4th Place . Plenty of Volatility still around in this Comp, so it's still wide open and up for grabs.

I let you get close today, Mr. Frog, just to tease you (screenshot of that moment below), but didn't want to leave it so close overnight, and tomorrow I'll make sure to dash any hopes you may have developed today.

Actually, jokes aside, both our choices are looking very interesting. Both have new all time highs within the last week and have frolicked around that level on three trading days since then, both sitting near their all time highs at close today. Either or both could break out and extend their run, or either or both could fail to do so and pull back to much lower levels while still being at high levels which would keep most shareholders very happy. Obviously, because I care about you, I hope that yours crashes in price because you sold out; I want you to feel good about having sold, and perhaps you'd like to buy back at a lower level right at close at the end of the month

As an aside, your pick is PLS, Pilbara Minerals Limited, and I'm physically in the Pilbara at the moment, will be for the entirety of September. Naturally, while I have other reasons for being here as a cover story, my primary reason is to be able to sabotage PLS in the unlikely event that you look like having a chance of beating me.

AGY did what? Sorry, I'm having difficulty hearing you over the sound of this rally. AGY tried so hard not to fall that it smashed out yet another all time high multiple pips above the last one which was just set yesterday?

Haha, PLS is having a fantastic run though. Both these companies are hitting ATHs multiple times over the last few sessions. Jokes aside I'm sorry you were stopped out.

I ended the day with a reasonable lead but you were actually well ahead of me a few times today and yesterday. Six more sessions to go this month, definitely plenty of time to increase my lead to something which will humiliate you, er, for things to potentially go either way. I decided against the industrial sabotage, partly because if PLS went down you'd feel good about being stopped out and might get a good reentry and partly because AGY is flying ahead anyway.
 
The battle continues between @Sdajii AGY 42.17% in 1st and @qldfrog PLS 35.34% in 2nd with just over a week to go. @frugal.rock AEV 18.18% now in 3rd had a great day on Wednesday (up 30%)
XSO is down -1.51% so far this week while ASF Team is down -1.56% so overall, pretty close.

Not many 10%+ movers this week so far ..... Monday @Iggy_Pop 12.37% ...... Tuesday @noirua 15.79% ....... Wednesday @frugal.rock 30.00% followed closely by @debtfree 11.76% .
