Good morning everyone and welcome to the September 2019 stock tipping competition! :)

This month's competition is proudly sponsored by FP Markets.

FP Markets is an Australian owned and ASIC regulated broker with over 12 years experience and 35 industry awards including Highest Overall Client Satisfaction 5 years running. They facilitate trading in equities, indices, commodities, futures, Forex and Bitcoin via their MetaTrader4 platform.

FP Markets offer 10,000+ equities, indices and commodities across all major international markets. All equity CFDs are DMA priced and 100% hedged. FP Markets are not a market maker so their interests are aligned with that of their clients. You can go long on everything listed on the ASX and international markets and they have the widest short offering of any Australian broker.

This month there were two entrants who forgot to post in the thread of their stock tip in accordance with the competition rules: @Levity1996, and @Padowan. I will give those two entrants another 24 hours to post in the thread of their competition entry. If they choose to do so then I will add them to the September competition. :)

Could all qualifying entrants please check their entry and entry price and report any errors to me in this thread.

Keep track of the results here: ASF Stock Competition Leaderboard

Feel free to discuss the competition in this thread as the month progresses.

EXR Joe, for me closed at 0.059 on Friday. It's marked 0.054 on the leader board.

So I'm unfortunately late out of the stalls at the start.

Well we are started. I'm covered in dirt, well behind, on a track which has very wet conditions. I'll nudge in behind @explod as we pass the finish line for the first time. He seems to know this track, so follow the last leader.

Hey Joe, this might be a bit nit picky and it isn't a big issue, but the competition rules say the winner is the person whose stock increases the most from the beginning to the end of the month, but you actually use the price from the end of the previous month to the end of the current month. According to the rules we'd be starting from the opening price of the first day of the month.

Not arguing with the way you run the competition or anything, I don't mind either starting point, but it would be good to have the rules state what you're actually doing.

It's easier to set the entry price as the closing price on the last day of the previous month and the competition has always been run that way.

I'll be sure to be clearer about it in the first post of the competition entry thread starting from next month.

Yeah, that's fine, you can run it either way, I don't think it's a big deal where the starting point is, just that the rules don't match what's done.

I can’t believe this. On EXR I’m so far behind I’ve decided to ditch my goggles. Putting on the raybans and just going to enjoy the ride. I had to also ditch my MacBook Pro as I piloted my old Cessna over the Bass on a short flight from Essendon to Penguin. It overheated. The MacBook Pro not the Cessna. Depending now on my rusty 6s. I do note EXR may be on the cusp of a wave3 EW. Unable to post a chart as every time I do I get pains in my ears from screaming passengers when I draw trend lines and we either enter a stall or head for the drink. It’s quite dark now but can see Launceston to the port side. My trusty mate will have the ancient Subaru to illuminate the field.

Just keep hold of the joystick there GG.

Looking at the bigger picture a lot piled into EXR back in July, the volume speaks for itself. In a week or two this could fly past my MOY (on zero atm) in a stride:-

A quick update.

I just noticed I included @Levity1996 stock selection QFE in Thursday chart. Apparently there was no post in the QFE thread so did not qualify. It was coming second and still would be. What a shame, at the moment it would be giving @Buckfont SGQ a real run for 1st place.

Some good movers today, @aus_trader, @BlindSquirrel, @Sdajii , great to see SEA make a move for Sdajii and also @Joules MM1 up about 18% today from last spot on Friday.

Thanks for making these charts, I really enjoy seeing them (even depressing as most of them have been for me this year!). It's so interesting to see the progress over the month displayed in this way.

If you want a good laugh go to EXR latest " market sensitive announcement ".

Nothing to say.

Little done. 6 weeks before interpretation of data.

A loss in price of low teen % wise.

Voluminous projectile vomiting in praise of nebulous Mongolian partners.

I think I'll be training the grandkids on this old nag.

I will attempt to get @explod to pull up with me for a Guinness and a shady lady on the back straight break in the fence.

Nice chart debtfree, always nice to see the performance of the tips visually with all the volatility than just a %. Thanks.

Well myself, @debtfree , @explod and @greggles are in a very comfortable den sipping Great Northern Crisp while the race continues.

It is quite a pleasant place apart from a pimply youth trying to sell me "roids", whatever they are.

Racing is such an exciting sport and a good competition adds spice.

We four have found an entrance back in to the field, just behind the pub, so watch out @Buckfont , we are saddling up again, and are after you.
