Inverse , metaverse , perverse, chapter and verse

Local fund manager BetaShares has launched an exchange traded fund that will invest in companies from around the world staking a claim to the metaverse.

The BetaShares Metaverse ETF will provide “exposure to a portfolio of leading global companies involved in building, developing and operating the Metaverse” . This nebulous, online environment is “the next frontier of the internet that is revolutionising the way people, businesses and communities connect with one another”, according to BetaShares.

it doesn't deserve its own thread; but a mention needs to be made of an ASX listed Managed Fund (mFund, ETF, whatever)

Janus Henderson Net Zero Transition Resources Active ETF (ASX: JZRO) , which aims to identify [and invest in] the natural resources companies making strides to reduce the world's carbon footprint.

I suspect the fees would be high. There's a puff-piece in this promo site

sadly , i agree

Management Cost 0.85%

And now, calling itself an Anti-Woke ETF, is a US exchange listed one: YALL.

But they do seem to have issues deciding what to include/ exclude

some ETF offerings are all about 'the narrative ' ( whichever story they are telling ) and fees , rather than the ( unit-holder ) returns

buying the right ETF ( for YOU ) is a lot harder than it seems

conversely i have accepted an invite into a soiree which is liable to turn into a Betashares sales presentation next week ( i hold several Betashares products )

maybe it will be enlightening and not just be a sales pitch

another warning to ETF fans WATCH how they follow the mandate , and when they DO tweak the mandate , is it an acceptable tweak ( for YOU )

( PS i don't mind the higher fees IF they produce the returns )

Now FY23 is done and dusted, here are some of the best and worst for the 12 months.
