My name is Andrea Bennet and I am conducting a research project with Dr Bianca Klettke, a lecturer in the School of Psychology, Deakin University. Generally studies in my area of research use students as participants but I would really like to reach a larger group of people with my study. The results of this study will also be published and will hopefully make a real impact.

I am conducting this research to find out how the Australian public perceives child sexual assault. I would like to invite you to participate in this research. You must be above the age of 18 years as this study concerns information that is potentially distressing in nature of the content.

Your participation will be anonymous and no identifying information will be asked of you. You will be provided with a link which will take you to an invitation for an online survey. In this survey you will be asked read a short scenario describing child abuse and you will then be asked to respond to a questionnaire. The survey will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

If you decided to participate, please follow this link

Thank you!

Andrea: have completed your well designed survey, happy to help.
Best wishes for your work.

All done -- Good on you for taking it further, Andrea, and all the best with your studies

Confronting.
An area I could not be involved in.

Thank you very much to those who filled out the survey, I really do appreciate it. I still need another 150 participants so if anyone would still like to participate, the survey is still open. If you have any questions or comments, please email me at abali @ deakin.edu.au. I don't often have the time to go back to the forums to check on replies.

Thank you!
Andrea

Filled it in for you. I hope you put your study to good use.

Completed,

but a very disturbing one indeed as this sort of thing is happening out there.

But very good to see academia working in these areas for research.
