I don't think the take over of Ukraine is on the table, however the Dombass(sp?) and Crimea might be goners.

Perhaps we could take them back but at what cost. These are Russian speaking and Russian cultural areas of the Ukraine largely supportive of being part of Russia (and I stand to be corrected on that).

Is it worth nuclear winter or perhaps several million deaths in a traditional ground war? Additionally there are several other political considerations in the conflict which are not so clear cut as presented to we plebeians. Most people fly flags and put the Ukrainian flag in their X profile with absolutely no freaking idea of all the considerations in that particular conflict. It's just because the political establishment / media have told them that Ukraine are the Good Guys.

In truth the political considerations extend well beyond the Ukrainian borders, and you and I are not privy to all of those factors. Vis a vis we actually have no right to have any sort of strong position because we are functionally ignorant.

Now, about that freedom argument?

I guess time will tell that, I didn't follow the election at all, it is hard enough getting excited about Australian politics.

The only thing I'm sensing is that the silent majority, which is the working middle class, are desperate to find someone who will try and halt the slide.

I guess whatever policies Trump had, Trumped Kamilas, so to speak.

As usual time will tell, it will be no mean feat to encourage manufacturing in competition against China, as Germany is currently finding out.

The issue is, if a level playing field isn't found, where will the first world countries economies bottom out?

Trump may not be the answer, but obviously the majority of yanks thought he would make a better fist of it, than the opposition.
It isn't as though he had a 'Just fell over the line win', is it?
Or maybe you know something, the majority of American voters don't.

The other issue is, what if Russia don't invade Ukraine and China don't invade Taiwan, none of this action was happening on Trumps last watch.

Maybe the doom and gloom is unfounded, maybe Trump will get people around the table, Biden never did much in that regard from the snippets I heard.
 
If Russia takes Ukraine, China takes Taiwan, US can have Cuba.

Any objections ? End what you started
 
What this does however is highlight the problem with DEI in the first place.

It's existence is an insult to and undermines the standing and credibility of actually competent people who just happen to meet the DEI criteria.
 
If there is anything the left should have learnt from this election is that mudslinging no longer works. Lawfare no longer works. I should have learnt that what they actually need to do is come up with policies that the majority of the electorate can embrace.
