MORE dangerous to Australia than the Labor Government

..Control of a large section of it by a single organisation controlled by one man who can limit what appears in his media to ideas that benefit himself or his organisation.
Take it up with him then. I assume you are referring to Bob Brown, scourge of the Hate Media.

Glad you agree. I thought you were one of those loony right wingers !

:D

Just goes to show you shouldn't rush to judgment, considering you have only been on the forum 5 minutes.

Does Bob Brown own controlling interests in media companies ?

If Finklestein gets his way he will have a controlling interest without owning anything. It called censorship.

We have had discussions on other forums, Q&A and ABC TV, so I'm not rushing to judgement

How shocking that people should have a say in how the media presents issues. It's called free speech, which is useless unless you can be heard.

Thanks dutchie,

The Greens and the ALP are trying to muzzle News Corporation, so it is good to have you onside advocating freedom of speech against the voracious controlling instincts of the Left.

gg

Are you sure about the Greens? I thought it was the other way around. Evidence???

Just watch or listen to the ABC (ALP News 24 is a cracker) and the SBS , or read a Fairfax newspaper.

News Ltd by contrast, owns 32% of newspaper titles in Australia. These are profitable publications, because people living outside of Fitzroy and Carlton, Balmain and Glebe - trust them.

People who are stupid trust them. These are newspapers for stupid people.

Murdoch has publicly clearly admitted he holds significant political beliefs and uses his publications to syndicate his personal beliefs and opinions. Anyone still paying attention to anything by News Ltd has gone off the deep end.

Is this a bit of deception going on here? If so, it seems to be becomming the norm to do "whatever it takes" even if that means deceiving.

Excerpt:

Except for one thing. The polls showing a pro-Labor bias were from… wait for it… 1966 and and 1976. That’s right, they are decades old. Yet they are in the same section as debate on climate change, and used later on as justification for this regulatory regime.
