I purchase 30 years ago a parcel of shares paid 20cents and now they are a wopping 43 cents considering that gold prices have trebled of late .i cant understand why my shares have not gone for a big leap either . The mining company seems to invest millions of dollars in exploration . Q were do they get their money from as it cant be from investors surely as you can see I am still waiting for mine to go over the magical dollar yes i know its a gamble when entering the stock market but one would of hoped for a nice bonus 30 years later

You have not given us a lot to go on with respect to which company, however part of the problem is that if you bought 30 yrs ago, that was at the absolute peak of a gold mania.

If you check the 30 yr gold chart you will see the price peaked in 1980 and did not recover till 2007.

Your shares must have looked pretty sick even 2 years ago!

I recently read a report commenting the time to buy junior gold shares is when every one else despises them and thinks you are a fool ( with 5 attached recomendations that averaged over 300% in 18 months)

If you want us to help you with some research you'd better post the name of the company. We are after all helping you for free, donating our time if you will.

Actually the best time to buy gold stocks was late 2008 as the global risk deleveraging was at its peak for Gold stocks....there's a swag of good gold producing stocks that are up 400 to 900+% since then.

TRY, OGC, IAU, etc
