Hi
I became involved in a discussion about politics (first mistake) in which a statement was made that I would like to read into a bit. The idea was that Australia's general economic trend follows a rough ten year cycle and that it's just a coincidence that every time we have had an upward trend a Liberal government has been in power and every time a downward trend was due Labor just happened to be in power. The concept doesn't sit right with me as it is superbly simplistic and vague but I have nothing to base my opinion on. So what I'm asking for is anyones informed opinion or any links to very long term charts or figures?
Thanks
Troy
