Exactly. It just exports (in a very blinkered way) the prosperity to be derived from the dwindling fuel resources...The only practical effect is who burns the fuel...If CO2 is going to cook the planet then it's going to happen either way..
..A carbon tax on consumption...does not in any way reduce the production of fossil fuels and their overall consumption globally.
