Still, this is enough water on top of the rest we have received in the past week to leave the paddocks in a sodden state.

I love historic homes and would love to do a drive by, which road is it on?Grandfather was the 1st to settle in Stoneville after WW1 built the house out of mud from the creek staw from the paddock roof timber was jarrah of the block we lived in it for a year or so when I was 5 years old house is still standing.
Grandfather had to sell his motor bike and side car to put a tin roof on the home made wooden shingles leaked to much.
Grandfather lost a leg from a German shell in the trenches killed the other 15 diggers he never received a pension passed at the age of 55.

A widow, Mrs Brown, had 7 daughters and all were married at the Stoneville Hall just after WWII.
We had a visit from one of the daughters about 35 years.
She had moved to Sydney with her husband and family and came back over for a look-see after the years.
A most interesting lady to talk to especially about the 7 weddings.
Apparently, the Hall really rocked.
These days the Hall is a private residence.

We moved to Soneville late 1979There were 3 boys from memory Gary was a year younger than me but always beat me in the 100 yards / meters all the way through primary and high school I was the quickest in my year but Garg way faster overall.
