It's pishing down at the 3DE, just nearly got bogged in the parking area.Well, the dire forecast of storms and dumping rain has not happened as yet. 18mm overnight with a bit of thunderstorm about 8.30am.
Still, this is enough water on top of the rest we have received in the past week to leave the paddocks in a sodden state.
Should be plenty of green shirt brigade available to give you a push Wayne !!!It's pishing down at the 3DE, just nearly got bogged in the parking area.

Had about an hour of low to solid rain so far with little wind.
@IFocus Stoneville is where we started way back in 1979, over the road to Hillston and nearby to the Research Station
I love historic homes and would love to do a drive by, which road is it on?Grandfather was the 1st to settle in Stoneville after WW1 built the house out of mud from the creek staw from the paddock roof timber was jarrah of the block we lived in it for a year or so when I was 5 years old house is still standing.
Grandfather had to sell his motor bike and side car to put a tin roof on the home made wooden shingles leaked to much.
Grandfather lost a leg from a German shell in the trenches killed the other 15 diggers he never received a pension passed at the age of 55.

We have a little bit of history about the place we had.
A widow, Mrs Brown, had 7 daughters and all were married at the Stoneville Hall just after WWII.
We had a visit from one of the daughters about 35 years.
She had moved to Sydney with her husband and family and came back over for a look-see after the years.
A most interesting lady to talk to especially about the 7 weddings.
Apparently, the Hall really rocked.
These days the Hall is a private residence.
Just up the road from us.Learnt to play chess in the Stoneville hall you must have been close to the Cockmans near the research station.
Just up the road from us.
We moved to Soneville late 1979There were 3 boys from memory Gary was a year younger than me but always beat me in the 100 yards / meters all the way through primary and high school I was the quickest in my year but Garg way faster overall.
Small world, I left home to do an apprenticeship in Perth 74 / 75.

Next to no rain and the crops suffer and too much rain and the plants start to go yellow. It's quite dry on the farms in SA at the moment:
On the Scarp 16mm with a little bit more to finish the day off.8mm last night in the deep south.
We are in for some pretty wild weather over the next couple of days.
Sizeable rainfall, with perhaps hail and thunderstorms and severe wind events.
Sounds more like the middle of winter.
Not so good for those who have started hay making, but for the rest of us it just might be gold.
