Is it a social norm for people to buy their lunch these days?

ahh tooche, then in that case im just 7 meals.... but my portion sizes are still ridiculous...

Damn! If im ever in Sydney ill go! Thats basically all ill eat if I eat out anyway.. That or Nando's tenderloins. Chicken schitzel/parma's FTW! :p:
 
yeah it's normal, but worth complaining about at the same time.

My Grandfather used to tell me that after he had walked 52 miles through the middle of the desert to get to primary school with no shoes on(they didn't have those fancy "universities" in those days, after primary school you were educated by the school of hard knocks), he had to turn around and go into the mountains where it was always snowing to catch his own lunch! And that was back before the days of hunting knives, he had to catch and kill bears with his bare(ha ha get it) hands, before lighting a fire and cooking it before going back to school in the afternoon.

You young people have it so easy these days, what with your pre packaged lunches, shoes, cars and the like!

He had to walk up hill, both ways to school, it wasn't easy back then. Gramps was so poor, he had to carry a sheep in each pocket to keep his hands warm, Winters were a challenging time! :eek:
 
Kind of relevant to this discussion and board.

Eating champion Kobayashi getting beaten in an eating comp by a Kodiak bear. His only loss until 2007. A lot of people seem to be getting beaten by bears lately...
