Old news really isn't it ? You could check back every year for the past decade and see stories of record breaking heat waves (new heat records most years) , record forest fires and so on.
Probably the most significant change is the addition of record insurance costs or more recently NO insurance available. Oh and now teh numbers of heat deaths is escalating.

The frogs are nicely cooked. No more screams to assault the ears.

Interesting article on the climate change front, Santos looking to hammer activists.

Like everything, there's two sides to the story.

For decades activists have been firm believes that "no means yes" on any issue. If public opinion supports them then they're quick to highlight that fact. If it's against then they suddenly forget about public opinion push ahead regardless. Yes means yes. No means yes.

They've done more harm than good to the whole cause in my view. By campaigning against every possible solution, and activists have indeed campaigned against nuclear, hydro and wind as well as fossil fuels, that just sends a message to the public that there's no solution available, nothing can be done, so no real point worrying about it.

If the activists want to be part of the solution well them start campaigning in favour of nuclear as long as it's done sensibly, in favour of hydro as long as it's not wiping out species etc, in favour of wind, in favour of big transmission projects, etc. Actually support solutions rather than just constantly complaining and they might then achieve something.
