What does Lloyds think is happening?

I note that the Tasmanian Government has just committed to a study into the impacts on the state of a sustained rise in oil prices. Announced in the budget yesterday. :)

Also some related stuff like a light rail feasibility study (and the general thinking here has been for battery power) and a bit of a push for public transport generally.

Maybe we should have kept going with electric buses instead of scrapping them all in the late-1960's in favour of diesel. :2twocents
 
Here's a "small" compilation combining a couple of internet lists of a few of the items we surround ourselves with on a daily basis that are produced from or dependent upon viably cheap oil/petroleum..



Should be a piece of cake to find plentiful, cheap, non-oil alternatives, eh? :eek:

Surely we can start making these things out of nearly extinct animals? I mean, seriously, either re-populate by yourselves, or p!ssoff. Far too many Save The ....... fundraisers out there.
