Is there any work in airlie beach? Just using your post as a platform 9K, no offence intended. As I said previously guys, immigration is the cause of this because sydney IS the main port of entry.
Have a look at, say, airlie beach where nobody is migrating to and homeowners (sellers) are absolutely shitting themselves right now.
It's a very simple immigration driven artificial supply/demand imbalance.
Maybe the immigrants should sign up to become police officers and there is heaps of work, if they want it.
It is just a case of pricking the ponzi bubble, the problem is the only ones that can prick it, are in it upto their bollocks.?
Let's get back to basics, Australia has a population of 25million, 10million live in Sydney/Melbourne, most of the productive export earnings comes from the Northern area of Australia.
So logics tells you to encourage the development of the productive areas and populate those areas, so that you build up a community and a labour force to grow that area and its productivity.
The down side is that it isn't an attractive area and if you bought an investment property there, the returns wouldn't be great.
So flckt it keep the Melbourne/Sydney ponzi going, if you can't beat it, join it. ? ?
Bring 200,000 plumbers into Sydney/ Melbourne, that will bring the cost of the reno down on the investment property.
Will the politicians change anything? I doubt it.
Will China? definitely.
